Police in South Africa claim the shooting deaths of four men in a bar urinal stemmed from a comment about the size of a patron’s genitals. The two men charged in the shooting: two police officers who are brothers.

While the shooting occurred in 2008 in a Merseyside pub in Umbilo, the trial of the police officers has been delayed until April 1. The judge, who apologized, claimed the delay stemmed from no courts being available.

Both brothers have been out on bail.

Good news if you like to drink and wear a bra. Bad news if you don’t live, or aren’t traveling to Singapore where the OverEasy Nightclub is offering a free drink based on your cup size.

The OverEasy nightclub came out with the idea to attract customers by organising the event themed ‘Fill My Cups’.

It is said that those with A cup would get one free drink while those with B cup would get two glasses. Those who wore C cup would receive three drinks. Women with D cup would be given a bottle of alcoholic drink worth S$168.

The incident at the Munich airport occurred today at 3:30 PM. What’s scary about this story: A passenger had a laptop that tested positive for a possible explosive by a security device. The man then “dodged” security then ran into a closed section of the airport then apparently escaped.

The incident was serious in that 1200 police officers searched Terminal Two, which was closed down for a short period of time.

“At least 17 domestic and international flights were delayed because of the closure. Airport spokesman Edgar Engert said more delays or cancellations were also possible.”

Destinations of international flights originating from Munich include Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Los Angeles (LAX), JFK, New York (Newark), Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington (IAD).

DAVID BROOKS: GET UP!
IT’S SCOTT BROOKS’ TIME!

Slublog, at Hot Air’s Green Room, takes the NY Times’ supposed conservative, David Brooks, to task for using “a thoughtful, pragmatic administration marked by a culture of honest and vigorous debate” as a descriptor for Obama’s first year.

What else Brooks said: “If the evidence leads him in directions he finds uncomfortable, he will still follow the evidence. He is beholden to no ideological camp, and there is no group in his political base that he has not angered at some point in his first year.”

While we totally disagree with about 90% of what Brooks write above, Brooks has an awakening of sorts when, in the same piece, he warns Obama/Reid/Pelosi of the political dangers in trying to jam health care down Americans’ throats–by tricks.

After listing myriad reasons why Brooks’ Obama is a Fantasy Action Figure, Slublog sums up the NY Times columnist’s first, tiny efforts at opening his eyes.

David Brooks and the Real President:

…these stories do not paint a picture of a president interested in “honest and vigorous” debate, and the arguments of those who may disagree with him. His actions on healthcare alone suggest not one who puts evidence-based pragmatism ahead of ideology. It’s time for Brooks to bury his Fantasy Obama and face reality – he was suckered.

Why is it that every time one of the superscary-smart “elites” discovered what has been apparent to most ordinary Americans, they get either praise for having an epiphany–or in Brooks’ case, the benefit of the doubt for being “suckered”?

It’s much more accurate to say that Brooks–and every single member of these so-called “elites” that required an election in Massachusetts to serve as an alarm clock–was ‘self-suckered’.

Because when you’re superscary-smart, you can perform self-suckerification so much better than the little people on whom you deign to shower opinions.

IT’S KEITH OLBERMANN TIME!

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

But Keith Olbermann is not a time-telling device. He is a pontificat-amatic tool, however.

Is there anything sadder in this entire world than a progressive venting to an audience who increasingly turns him off because they’ve heard it all before?

“You may not have heard Scott Brown associating himself with the Tea Party movement (what?!? is this too maudlin a moment for even KO to trot out his trademark “tea bagger” sexual slur?), the saddest collection of people who don’t want to admit why they really hate.”

When Olbermann’s saddest collection of false gods fall and crash to earth–progressive thought, the power of MSNBC to deliver more than a small collection of the boob-acracy to progressive candidates and Olbermann’s God-made-Man-in-Chief, Obama–his voice takes on just a bit more of a quiver and his head tilt becomes just a bit more pronounced.

Keith Olbermann says that people with whom he doesn’t agree are “racists”. Worse than that: they’re kicking his ass–and Martha and Obama, too.

Can’t be because voters are upset with too much government, huh? They weren’t satisfied with Bush on those grounds, either. He’s gone. They weren’t satisfied with earmarking, pork-chomping Republicans and they were voted out.

But now that the voters want to give the heave-ho to Democrats who have turned out to be the GOP earmarking weasels on steroids, all of sudden, your racist detector goes off?

It’s too late KO: everyone’s blowhard detector has sounded a 10-alarm Countdown alert.

So, get used to it, Keith.

You were a has-been when you left ESPN, but you were able to re-invent yourself at MSNBC. You preach to an audience of the converted that’s already convinced and you can’t drag anyone else into your bully pulpit (emphasis on the “bully”). Now that you’re exposed for what you are and have no more power, where will you go now?

Maybe somewhere where you’ll be right at least two times a day.

Just seven days ago Martha Coakley, during a debate with Scott Brown, equivocally stated that the terrorists in Afghanistan are “gone”, and “they’re not there anymore”. If so, then how would Coakley describe the men wearing explosive vests who pulled the “brazen, daylight” attack on the center of Kabul today, which, according to the AP, “paralyzed the city for several hours”?

KABUL — Taliban militants wearing explosive vests launched a brazen daylight assault Monday on the center of Kabul, with suicide bombings and gunbattles near the presidential palace and other government buildings that paralyzed the city for hours.

Afghan forces along with NATO advisers managed to restore order after nearly five hours of fighting as explosions and machine gunfire echoed across the mountain-rimmed city, sending terrified Afghans racing for cover. Twelve people were killed, including seven attackers, officials said.

The timing on this was rather poor, considering the deaths of eight CIA officers in Afghanistan just ten days ago at the hands of a suicide bomber. Jim clips together the suicide bomber’s valedictory message made just prior to his attack to underscore the point.

Just in case Hot Air’s pronouncement isn’t enough to sway opinion, how about a statement on the attack from the CIA, dated December 31, 2009:

CIA Director Leon E. Panetta informed the Agency workforce today that seven of their colleagues were killed and six others were injured on Wednesday at a Forward Operating Base in Khost Province, Afghanistan. The casualties were the result of a terrorist attack.
