Hillbuzz Threatened by Kos And DummieUnderground Denizens?

A plea:
Kevin Dujan of Hill Buzz is NOT a racist and he needs our help
The Daily Kos and Democratic Underground have outed Kevin Dujan as the owner of the blog, Hill Buzz. They are smearing him with the false charge that that he is a racist. They are urging their readers to destroy his career and attack him physically. (I’m not linking them, but you can verify this by Googling. Instead, I suggest you read Hill Buzz here.)
The Right blogosphere should rally to the aid of Dujan and Hill Buzz, as he has tirelessly rallied to ours with dozens of posts teaching Republicans how to campaign effectively and supporting Republicans, including Gov. Sarah Palin and now Sen.-elect Scott Brown. If you are not familiar with Hill Buzz, here is a wonderful sample post — they are observing the first anniversary of Obama’s inauguration with the thank-you letter they wrote to Pres. George W. Bush last year.
Although the author of the passages above is sincere, I am unmoved for several reasons.
1-Who actually reads DU or Kos unless you’re trolling for outrageous comments to post to show how unhinged the Left is? Charles Johnson used to do this on a bi-weekly basis to fire up the converted.
2- To have these folks call you a racist is the equivalent of having Conan say that Jay is “bad”. It’s expected–and ineffectual, because it’s fairly clear that it’s standard operating procedure for those sites. They thrive on pandering to their smallish base anxiously hitting the “refresh” button to rack up pageviews. To them, “racist” is an automatic descriptor for “someone I disagree with”. Same as “Nazi”–only not so German-centric.
3- I’m not underplaying the threat of physical violence, but really–being physically threatened by a denizen of either site? What are they going to do? Throw a hot latte on you?
4- I don’t always agree with Hillbuzz, but I find them to be entertaining and privy to some good info. They were among the first to warn of the thuggish ways of Captain Wonderful. HB also seems sensible and grounded. So they have that going for them, also.
I’m glad that ANCLAY is looking out for HB. It’s always a good thing when that happens–for both the looker and the lookee.
I guess my verdict is: believe what you read at HB. Don’t believe what you read at the DU and Kos.
Unless you want to, of course.
UPDATE:
Apparently, the activity against the Hillbuzz boys is worse than I first thought.
Originally, I thought it was just harassment and, though it’s unpleasant, that’s par for the course. It may be more serious than that. Here’s an update from HB themselves.
They’re trying to identify culprits, some may be linked back (likely) to Captain Wonderful’s operations, like Organizing for America.
Any Internet detectives who want to help Hillbuzz out? Head on over and report for duty!
