Anaconda Captured in Florida
In what could be the first official capture of an anaconda captured in the “wild”, a 12-ft green anaconda was caught yesterday at the Osceola County Park near Kissimmee, Florida. The snake was caught by an Osceola Sheriff’s mounted patrol after a man who kept horses at the park’s stable noticed the duck and geese population dwindling in the last few months. Natives of South America, anacondas can grow up to 30 ft. long.
According to National Geographic, the anaconda is the world’s largest snake, and, among the most deadly.
