Ten-Yr-Old Boy Tasered, Arrested in Pueblo, Colorado

According to RGJ.com, a ten-yr-old Pueblo, Colorado boy was tasered and arrested on suspicion of menacing with a deadly weapon. The alleged weapons: a pipe, stick, and a “piece of wood”, the boy allegedly threw at deputies who responded to a call that the boy was “threatening to destroy” property at the foster home where the boy lived.

Details didn’t include how much the boy weighed, or how many “deputies” responded to the call. According to Taser International, tasering kids with 50,000 volts of electricity is okay as long the kid weighs “60 pounds”. Taser responded to a CNN article which was written about two kids in Florida who were tasered by cops: one, a boy, age 6, the other, a girl, age 12.

The following video shows a Texas cop tasering a 72-yr-old grandmother during a traffic stop. Note that the cop tasered the woman before he told her to “get on the ground” then screamed at her to “put her hands behind her back” as she writhed in pain.

While the 72-yr-old great-grandmother was hauled off to jail, a Dallas cop who accidentally tased himself was “treated for his injuries”.

I am wondering where they dug up these cowards they call law enforcement officers. Anyone who can not handle a 10 year old boy, not to mention a 72 year old grandma, without a taser has no business being a cop.

  2. This all goes back to the fundamental flaw in the U.S. Constitution of no way for the People to prosecute the police, and the fact that the police own the courts and prosecutors and twist the law upside down to get away with any abuse of power on a day by day basis. Still, it’s like junkyard dogs, they’re mean and nasty but not as bad as the criminals :)

I spent thirty years carrying a badge; if I had done this to a child either of my Chiefs of Police would have torn my badge off then kicked my butt until I was in another state. How disgusting law enforcement has come to this.

That boy was attacked with a deadly weapon, and there are more than 140 dead Americans to prove that – and there was NO JUSTIFICATION for it.

I used to be a big booster of the police. In the last 10 years, my opinion has shifted 180 degrees. I’m totally disgusted.

In our community, there’s four or five cops that “run too hot”; the rest are professional and do their jobs in that manner.

Ultimately, it’s the good cops that will have to fix problems like this. The bad ones are giving them all a bad name.

This is just one more reason tazers should be replaced with conflict resolution training, that use to be tought way back when police were also called peace officers

Another thing, always, ALWAYS, report for Jury Duty. Someday, one of these Law Enforcment tyrants is going to be brought up on charges or personally sued

  5. I’ve lost pretty much all respect for the police, especially in Hawai’i.

Too many of them are bullies hiding behind the government to protect themselves. Real criminals don’t even do that.

The Taser can be a valuable tool if used properly and under the right circumstances. It was meant to be used to subdue violent and/or suicidal suspects without having to resort to deadly force. Unfortunately, many officers are using them in a heavy handed and at times brutal manner with little or no real justification. Some officers use them to inflict pain or to force compliance if a citizen does,nt comply fast enough or simply in anger. Many of you cops out there have made your own enemies. What do you think this 10year old,s attitude toward the police is going to be as he grows up? You may have created a monster. It may come back to haunt you one day when the next time you decide to get cute with a Taser you catch a bullet for your troubles.
