Brooklyn Driver Makes Grisly Discovery Under Car

Late Wednesday night surveillance cameras caught on film a 19-yr-old’s body, wrapped in plastic, dumped on a Brooklyn street. Twenty-four hours later the same cameras most likely caught a Brooklyn driver and a friend pulling out of a parking lot then traveling 15 feet before coming to a halt. The reason why: the driver thought he’d run over a snowdrift until his friend looked out the car window and saw, sticking out from under the car, a human leg.

Obama, Iran: Obama Betrays Iranian Protesters

THOUSANDS PROTEST
HUNDREDS DIE
OBAMA IGNORES THEM

PRESIDENT DOESN’T WANT TO “MEDDLE” IN IRAN
WHILE HE MEDDLES IN AMERICAN’S PRIVATE LIVES

Of all the decisions of President Obama’s first year, the one that history may most condemn is his betrayal of freedom-loving Iranians dying in the streets. For a president so in love with his own words, these protesters are the one group for which he has none.

Was there ever such a gutless American president who refused to offer encouragement when hundreds of thousands protested in a foreign country for freedom and liberty?

In a word: no.

One can differ with many of the President’s decisions, but his greatest decision of 2009 may be a non-decision: that of offering any words of inspiration to the Iranians who risk their lives protesting against their brutal regime.

Charles Krauthammer has it exactly right in The Year of Living Fecklessly:

Obama responded by distancing himself from this new birth of freedom. First, scandalous silence. Then, a few grudging words. Then relentless engagement with the murderous regime. With offer after offer, gesture after gesture — to not Iran, but the “Islamic Republic of Iran,” as Obama ever so respectfully called these clerical fascists — the U.S. conferred legitimacy on a regime desperate to regain it.

Why is this so important? Because revolutions succeed at that singular moment, that imperceptible historical inflection, when the people, and particularly those in power, realize that the regime has lost the mandate of heaven. With this weakening dictatorship desperate for affirmation, why is the U.S. repeatedly offering just such affirmation?

Apart from ostracizing and delegitimizing these gangsters, we should be encouraging and reinforcing the demonstrators. This is no trivial matter. When pursued, beaten, arrested, and imprisoned, dissidents can easily succumb to feelings of despair and isolation. Natan Sharansky testifies to the electric effect Ronald Reagan’s Evil Empire speech had on lifting spirits in the Gulag. The news was spread cell to cell in code tapped on the walls. They knew they weren’t alone, that America was committed to their cause.

Yet so aloof has Obama been that on Hate America Day (November 4, the anniversary of the seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran), pro-American counter-demonstrators chanted “Obama, Obama, you are either with us or with them,” i.e., their oppressors.

Thank God Barack Obama didn’t lead the United States during the Cold War–Eastern Europe would most probably still be under the boot of a still-existing Soviet Union.

We gave President Obama quite a honeymoon at DBKP: almost eight months of staying silent on his policies that wounded America, hurt capitalism, attacked freedom of speech, alienated allies, gave comfort to rogue regimes bent on destroying the USA and other policies that seem daily to support his promise to “fundamentally transform the country.”

One wonders how this administration has nothing but an open hand for the gangsters running Iran–until one remembers that this president’s adopted hometown is Chicago.

History will remember his inaction and his support of the Iranian people’s enemies–who are America’s enemies as well.

In this case, the word that Obama most likes to use when referring to his policies is well-deserved.

His turning away from a people yearning to breathe free is truly “unprecedented”.

Iranian Protests Spread as Kerry Volunteers to Lick Mullahs’ Boots

Merry Christmas from Iran. While the protests in Iran have spread to the interior of the country and Twitter traffic from Iran shows a people defiant in the face of tyranny, John Kerry has offered his clueless self as the best way for the Obama administration to further legitimize the mullah-led thug-ocracy.

WHY WON’T OBAMA SUPPORT THE IRANIAN PROTESTERS?
WHY WON’T THIS ADMINISTRATION STAND WITH THE FORCES OF LIBERTY?

IS IT BECAUSE HE’S FROM CHICAGO and UNDERSTANDS “THE PERSUASION OF POWER”?

Obama supporter and leader of SEIU, Andy Stern, has spoken about the “persuasion of power”. President Obama seems to be equally impressed with the concept.

Perhaps that’s why this administration continues to side with a ruthless Iranian thuggery, led by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, over the Iranian people.

Nothing shows the arrogant cluelessness of the current administration’s foreign policy like the latest Iranian protests.

While brave Iranian protesters put their lives on the line against a corrupt regime–Iran protests spread in heartland–the Obama Administration is said to be mulling whether to further legitimize the thuggish mullah-ocracy by sending an equally-clueless John Kerry to Iran.

We wish all the Iranians in the streets protesting an oppressive regime the best of luck. And we also wish President Obama would grow a spine, step away from his fascination with thuggish power and stand with them, as American presidents, for decades, have stood with protesters on the side of liberty the world over.

Man Dead After Lawn Tractor, Tractor Trailer Collision

A Bannock, Ohio man died after his “late model” lawn tractor collided with a tractor trailer hauling coal Tuesday at 2 pm on Ohio 331.

Dave Eddy, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred about 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Jim Tracy.

Tracy said Eddy, riding a “late model lawn tractor,” pulled out in front of an oncoming coal truck traveling south on Ohio 331 near its intersection with Oak Avenue. Upon impact, Tracy said it appears Eddy was ejected from the tractor and dragged before coming to rest.

According to Tracy, there’s no laws against driving lawn tractors like Eddy’s on state highways. Even so, troopers think it’s a good idea to drive “vehicles” that can “keep up with the traffic” at the legal speed limit of 45 mph.

No word yet as to where Eddy was headed, or, why Eddy was driving a lawn tractor in winter.

Half-Naked Man With Glass Balls Wearing Santa Cap Vandalizes Las Vegas Welcome Sign

man with glass balls

“I hope someone in Metro is looking because some idiot is tagging the Vegas sign right now…”
Las Vegas FOX5 reporter

FOX5 News Las Vegas reporters were shocked and horrified as they filmed a half-naked man wearing a Santa cap throw glass balls filled with red and black paint at the Welcome Las Vegas sign. While it was apparent the reporters were in shock over the damage to the sign-most likely due to the fact that the sign is one of the few remaining artifacts of vintage Vegas and a historical landmark-it’s apparent the reporters weren’t fazed over the fact that a man went half-naked and vandalized the sign in plain sight of the cameras in broad daylight as a form of protest over the proposed Obama healthcare reform.

ObamaCare: The 20 Dumbest Things Said about ObamaCare

After all of the mendacity and lies said about the ObamaCare takeover of American medical insurance, it’s time for something a little lighter.

Like, the dumbest things said about ObamaCare.

Found this at Don Surber’s: The 20 dumbest things said about Obamacare.

Here’s the first five dumbest things said about ObamaCare. Visit the link for the other 15.

1. SEN. BEN NELSON (D-NE): “My Vote Is Not For Sale Period.”

Rent? Well, that is different.

2. SEN. DICK DURBIN (D-IL): “I Would Say To The Senator From Arizona, That I’m In The Dark Almost As Much As He Is. And I’m In The Leadership.”

For some reason, Dick Durbin would be the last guy I would tell anything to.

3. SEN. JOE LIEBERMAN (ID-CT): “I Wonder If I Could Ask Unanimous Consent For Just An Additional Moment.”
SEN. AL FRANKEN (D-MN): “In My Capacity As Senator From Minnesota, I Object.”
LIEBERMAN: “Really? OK. Don’t Take It Personally.”

Seriously, Minnesota, you couldn’t just find another 313 votes for Norm Coleman somewhere?

4. SEN. MAX BAUCUS (D-MT): “I’ll Just Read. This Is From Wikipedia. It May Not Be Accurate.”

To be fair, at least Wikipedia didn’t invent 440 congressional districts.

5. SEN. HARRY REID (D-NV): “If They Don’t Have Something In It Important To Them Then It Doesn’t Speak Well Of Them.”

The absolutely worst Yogi Berra impressionist ever.

The other 15 are at least as–if not more—dumb.*

* – was thinking about re-labeling “dumb” as “stupid” or something with some libtard (see?) bite to it, but Christmas is tomorrow, so there’s a spirit of “let bygones be bygones”.

Rasmussen: Obama Approval at -21

LOWEST POINT YET FOR OBAMA

Bad news in the form of daily tracking poll numbers for the man expecting a bounce from his ‘unprecedented’ health care proposals.

From Daily Presidential Tracking Poll, Tuesday, December 22, 2009:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-six percent (46%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21 That’s the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President.
[...]
Overall, 44% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. Fifty-six percent (56%) now disapprove.

Numbers the White House likely won’t think are ‘unprecedented’, but are. It’s Obama’s lowest approval rating yet. The White House is undoubtedly hoping wavering Congressmen and Senators don’t recalculate their mantra of “The public will thank us for this later.”

Now, that’s bounce you can believe in.
