Lowest of the Low: Couple Ransacks Home of Family Killed in Car Crash

California cops believe a couple with criminal records ransacked a family’s home and stole their car because the burglars knew the family had been killed three days earlier in a horrific traffic accident.

John and Susan Maloney, with their two children, Aiden, 8, and Grace, 5, died Saturday night in Petaluma, California, after their mini-van was struck by a 19-yr-old man driving a Mini-Cooper, ran a red light and rammed the Maloney’s car. Prior to the accident, witnesses claim they saw the man driving up to 90mph.

The two burglars were caught during a routine traffic stop on Tuesday where cops discovered items stolen from the Maloney home. Neighbors, who were watching the Maloney home discovered Tuesday morning the garage door open, the family’s other car missing, and the door kicked in.

The male burglar had a lengthy criminal record and was out on a $50,000 bail for gun, drugs, and stolen property possession. The woman had pending Methamphetamine possession charges.
