Former Purdue Graduate Student Gets Four Plus Years Prison Sentence for Chat Room Threats Against Bush, Cheney

A 38-yr-old immigrant from India and ex-graduate of Purdue living in West Lafayette, Indiana was sentenced to four plus years in prison for making threats against Bush, Cheney, and their wives in 2004-2005 while on an internet chatroom. According to the authorities, the threats were made by Vikram S. Buddhi who had “hijacked” the names of other Purdue students.

Buddhi claims he’s innocent.
