Raymond Franco, 27, of Carlsbad, NM, learned this lesson the hard way after Franco inadvertently sent the text message “Got the bomb ass shiznit,” to an agent from the Pecos Valley Drug Task Force. Franco, who failed to ascertain that “Ray” was a drug agent, agreed to meet “Ray” at a local Wendy’s.

Franco’s day went from bad to worse after “Ray” and another agent busted Franco. Franco swallowed the “meth”, which Franco stated was counterfeit, while Franco, a convicted felon, was found carrying a gun.

Failure to follow the simple rule of knowing who you’re texting to led to Franco being charged with illegally possessing a firearm, tampering with evidence, and possession of a counterfeit controlled substance.
