PPP: People Too Stupid to Follow Health Care Debate

MORE HURL ANALYSIS FROM PPP–The FOLKS WHO HAD DOUG HOFFMAN UP BY DOUBLE DIGITS THE DAY BEFORE THE NY-23 ELECTION

From Health Care and 2010:

The political damage for Democrats of passing a public option is not as bad as the damage from doing nothing. But they would still be better off passing something that’s not perfect than passing nothing at all. Most voters aren’t following this debate really closely and don’t understand the nuances of it all.

PPP’s tactic: When the facts are in your favor, pound on the facts. When the law is in your favor, pound on the law. When neither are in your favor, pound on “nuance” and the “public is too stupid to remember”.

2010 will be a good time to test out PPP’s analysis. Are voters not paying any attention to the health care debate? Will they be baffled, come election time, by the “nuances”?

Of course, there’s plenty of time for PPP to walk this back- once the tsumami starts hitting the shore.
