NY Times, Berlin Wall: Didn’t Help Tearing it down, but Helped Build it
The NY Times has been a mouthpiece of Proud Progressives for a long time: The New York Times Helped Build the Wall.
At the American Thinker, Jack Cashill details the accomplishments of Progressive comrade-in-arms Walter Duranty of the New York Times of the ’30s. His flackery for Progressive causes will sound familiar to NYT watchers of our own era. Its spirit continues today in the writings of Frank Rich and the Times’ editorial board.
The Times sure didn’t contribute to tearing down that monstrous monument to human slavery.
But construction of the wall is an entirely different story.
The wall coming down was a sad day for Progressives worldwide. No wonder Obama won’t travel to Berlin to celebrate its dismantling.
