Health Scare Passes the House: Congress Declares War on Middle Class
Make no mistake about it: with the passage of the Health Scare bill in the House, 220-215, CONGRESS HAS ISSUED A DECLARATION OF WAR against the American middle class.
It started with a war of words against the Tea Party protesters, extended to Fox News and engulfed dissent wherever it broke out.
It climaxed tonight with the passage of a bill that creates 111 more government bureaucracies to oversee my life and intrude upon my pursuit of happiness. It creates new taxes, new fees and, in addition, shifts even more costs later onto me and my progeny.
A Congressional political elite that refused to listen to constituents, ignored their phone calls and voted the way the Democrat house leadership told them to vote is a political elite that needs to be replaced.
Here’s one person that will–for the first time in his life–actively work for the defeat of his own 13-term congressman who voted for this bill.
That doesn’t mean I’ll sit home and grumble and complain.
It means that I will volunteer to help whoever runs against this unresponsive bozo. I will knock on neighbors’ doors and erect signs along the US highway where I live.
It will be a war where the first battle will be fought over the next 12 months. It will be not only against the elite political class that resides in Washington DC, but also against that elite’s enablers in the press.
I would hope that many, many other Americans take a pledge today to do the same.
