Ft. Hood Shooter: AIDS Meds Discovered in Hasan’s Kileen Apartment
There are two sources for this story, earlier this morning on FOX News, who reported on air on what they had seen in Hasan’s Kileen, Texas apartment, and, the Dallas Morning News.

“A Dockers shoebox on top of the dryer was crammed with bottles of vitamins and drugs. Several bottles held prescription antibiotics and cough medications issued to Hasan at Walter Reed in 2005. One bottle, still holding about a dozen pills, had a label stating that the prescription “Combivir” was issued for Hasan in 2001 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
Combivir was commonly used to treat AIDS at the time. It also has been prescribed for health care workers who may have been exposed to the virus in needle sticks.
That prescription bottle had the word “AZT” handwritten in block letters, a possible reference to another anti-AIDS drug.”
In the FOX News piece, the reporter noted that other prescriptions for Hasan, including medications for “pneumonia” and a cough depressant were found.
The FOX News reporter stated that the medications didn’t “mean” Hasan had AIDS. Even so… if proven true, this could be a potential key piece of evidence relating to Hasan’s “state of mind”. Another key piece: whether Hasan was not only Muslim, but also gay, which is considered a “sin” by extreme adherents of Islam. If Hasan was HIV Positive, then it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Hasan’s attempt to “go out in a blaze of glory” as a “martyr” in the name of Islam may have been an attempt to “hide” his illness and the discovery of his sexuality.
