In Can Conservatives Govern?, David Frum offers some interesting information.

His article was ostensibly why conservatism, as presently formulated, was ill-suited to handle the economic crisis. But when all the lines were read between, it was more an explanation why his website recently changed it’s name from “The New Majority” to “Frum Forum”.

With ideas like Frum’s, reality dictated that no majority would ever have been possible. The new name was merely a reflection of Frum realizing that.
