Here’s a tip, Cheri: Google “prohibition”. When alcohol was outlawed by the 18th Amendment, LOTS of cops and officials were corrupted by the outrageous money that they could make by exploiting the system.

Then the 21st Amendment made alcohol legal again. When was the last time you saw a story about a cop that took money from Budweiser?

Likewise, see if you can find any stories about “bad cops” busting drug dealers in the 1930s or before. You can’t: because there were very few illegal drugs–including marijuana.

A little history reading makes your entire comment appear so ridiculous, I’m wondering if perhaps it’s not made up to discredit someone who really was in favor of the Drug War.

Look up cause and effect. Basic logic makes this a NON-comentary on the “Failed War on Drugs” or anything else but 4 bad cops story. The sky is blue. Today the sky is gray (raining) therefore the sky was never blue, was always gray and hope should be abandoned in favor of permanent raincoats and no one should ever expect the sky to be blue again.
