DHS: No Security in the Homeland
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DROP THE BALL.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DROP THE BALL: “While DHS was busy putting tea parties and anyone who dares fly the official military Gadsen flag on the domestic terrorist watch list, a real terrorist was spouting off online, glorifying suicide bombings and our mission in Iraq. I mean, I’m sure if I drink enough I might be able to understand the perception that a bunch of middle-class people peacefully dissenting with certain Washington policies are way more dangerous than a dude who talked about terrorist stuff on social sites and had gotten authorities’ attention six months ago.”
There’s much more at the link.
From Sunday’s Morning Intell:
DISGUSTING BUREAUCRACY: Glenn Reynolds neatly compacts the case against the bloated behemoth that is the Dept. of Homeland Security. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DROP THE BALL. Reynolds is a law professor, but, no doubt he would have made a grand prosecutor. When it came to the Ft. Hood shooter, the Dept. of Homeland Security provided NO security to those at Ft. Hood–despite so many red flags it could have been mistaken for a matador’s convention. The DHS is a Department and it is located in our Homeland. So, I’m guessing 2 out of 3 ain’t bad…
Maybe they should start calling it the Dept. of Homeland Insecurity?
