From ‘No better time to be a communist in US’:
NEW DELHI: The three-day international conference of communist and workers’ parties began on Friday amidst a call to intensify popular struggles and expand solidarities in the wake of the current world capitalist crisis.
So confident are communist leaders of the solution they can offer to current crisis in capitalism that even the leader of Communist Party of USA, Scott Marshall, said, “There could not have been a better time to be a communist in USA than this.”
And why wouldn’t Marshall be confident? Communism, socialism, progressivism, Marxism–call it what you will–has never had a better man on its side or more allies in the White House.
Communism and statists everywhere have to be encouraged by this administration’s full-bore assault on capitalism, individual freedom and choices. From the government takeover of GM and Chrysler to the health care behemoth straining to break free of the Senate, proponents of government control and command decisions have to be encouraged.
They’ve called it by different names: “crisis”, “health care reform” and “Net Neutrality”. But it’s just a facade in front of state control and mandated government regulating individuals.
IN other words: Communism.
No wonder Scott Marshall is crowing.
