AP: Recovery Not Really a Recovery

Ed Morrissey at Hot Air: AP: Recovery? What recovery?

The AP has been trying hard to sell the idea of recovery over the last few weeks, but even the AP can’t spin double-digit unemployment. In a piece published last night, they took a decidedly pessimistic tone in reporting the accelerating pace of job losses, using the somewhat ironic headline “What recovery?”

Uh oh. If the AP starts being skeptical about the spin on bogus recovery claims, the Obama Administration has lost a valuable press cheerleader. Forget the tea parties: Without the cover of the press, the natives will really get restless. When that portion of the population that depends on the MSM for news finds out what’s really going on–look out!

UPDATE @ 1450 EST 110709:
AP:“What recovery? Unemployment shoots past 10 percent”
Don Surber: “We lost 3.2 million jobs in the last 14 months of the Bush administration. We have lost 4.1 million since then.”

Give the man a cigar!
