THEY SERVED THEIR PURPOSE – Pentagon 9/11 victims’ remains hauled to Virginia landfill. George Orwell wrote in Animal Farm about what happened to Boxer the horse after he had outlived his usefulness to the cause. The victims of 911 are Boxers for our times.
LET’S GO BARR HOPPING – Bob Barr: Libertarians should vote for Gingrich. Barr destroys his supposedly Libertarian credentials by advancing the case of one of the most anti-Libertarian candidates in the race–which is saying a lot because Barack Obama is still in contention. Of course, the Libertarian Party greatly damaged its credibility when it nominated Barr, life-long conservative Republican (until 2006) to be its standard bearer in 2008. The whole escapade smacked of base opportunism–by both Barr and the Libertarians.
