Strange Fire Red Vertical Line in Edmunton, Red Skies at Night in Wisconsin

Is the bright red ‘UFO’ in the above photo published by the UK’s Telegraph related to mysterious red lights in the skies reports across the globe? One red light: a strange ‘pulsating’ fire red vertical line that appeared above the skies of Edmunton, Alberta, Canada on January 11, 2012. A red vertical line that appeared after red orbs were spotted in the area–the claim made in the video.
On March 25, 2011, the local Boulder Colorado news filed reports on strange red lights seen by Boulder residents at 8 PM, MST. The Boulder news report picked up by Huffington Post. The strange red lights news story shuffled to the dust bin of mysterious floating red lights in the sky reports.

On January 11, 2012, a ‘strange phenomena’ captured on film in the nighttime skies of Edmonton Alberta Canada, at approximately 11:11 PM, a “bright fire red” vertical line in the sky that ‘flared up’ or ‘pulsated’ for 15 minutes-video posted below.
Posted beneath the video, a comment about a strange ‘red’ nighttime sky in Wisconsin, the comment posted ’3 days ago’. Connected to the Boulder story, and, the new UFO photo from UK which includes recent sightings of mysterious ‘bright red lights’ in the skies of UK, the mention in the ‘red vertical line’ in the sky video at 8:32, “Luckily I charged the battery the other day, when those red orbs went over I couldn’t catch them”.

Comment from individual who posted the video:
“ya had to be here it was way brighter then the moon and the camera did not film what ya cold see with the eye. pure bright fire? red at times. the moon was covered in cloud and the whole city could see it, this is down graded to fit on here. i am use to shoting still shots using a nikon d200 dont do video to much. just a witness man iam not the only one that saw it .smile till the next event.”
Another comment:
“I would like to verify this occurance. I live on the south side of edmonton. my wife and i saw this. This was no sundog, this was no airplane or helocopter. This was exactly what u see in this video. It could have came from the ground or from space due to the Verticle nature It could be HAARP it could be a false flag operation.? This really happened.we saw it. we are concerned. a few days later the big noise came along. What is going on.”
“i live in wisconsin and i dont sleep well at night and i went outside around midnight or so and it was so dark i couldnt see anything at all. i watched a movie and came back out at 2:05 am and there is a redness in the sky that lights up everything not a single light but like the entire sky and i could? see my neighbors trees and things in there yard as if it was daylight anyone have any views on what this could be thanks”
On a ‘UFO’ side note, did Youtube uploader ‘Nerdumb’ close his/her Youtube channel after MSBNC filed the following report ‘UFO video’ from L.A. throws up plenty of red flags.
I read the MSNBC report because I wondered why MSNBC focused its attention on a relatively ‘small potatoes’ UFO video story: video of mysterious lights above Hermosa Beach on January 13, 2012?

On 4th nov 2011,approx 11.45pm Leighton Buzzard Bedfordshire UK, look out of bedroom window,saw a very bright red light, diamond shape,silent, pulsating and stationary.Rush outside with camera,try to focas, light dissapear in partial clouded sky.Reappear in a gap of the cloud as a orange yellowish ball,travelling fast.
