Bin Laden Dead: 2010 AP Report, FBI Bin Laden Age Progression Photo ‘Fake’

Bin Laden ‘Age Progression’ Photo published May 2, 2011, International Business Times
Today International Business Times filed a report on Bin Laden is dead and published Reuter’s ‘State Department and FBI Bin Laden Age Progression photo’ with the caption:

The U.S. Department of State and FBI have released this “age progressed” photograph of Osama Bin Laden (Usama bin Ladin) as a part of newly enhanced photos of terrorist suspects on their most wanted lists in Washington, January 15, 2010.
IBT:
Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden was a member of the wealthy Saudi bin Laden family and the founder of the jihadist organization al-Qaeda, responsible for the September 11 attacks on the United States and numerous other mass-casualty attacks against civilian and military targets. Osama bin Laden is dead and his body has been recovered by U.S. authorities.
Why is this photo important? According to news reports the Navy Seals used CIA ‘photo recognition’ during the nighttime raid on the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan to identify Bin Laden.
The Bin Laden Age Progression photo published by The International Business Times looks very similar to the FBI ‘Bin Laden Age Progression’ photo that was outed as a fake in 2010 by the AP. One can speculate the FBI use of Age Progression technology meant the FBI didn’t have access to more recent photos of Bin Laden. If there were more recent photos of Bin Laden, who took them, and, why weren’t they published?
Why did the FBI publish an age progression photo of Bin Laden in 2010 that turned out to be ‘fake’?
The 2010 AP report: Spanish lawmaker Gaspar Llamazares was shocked to discover the FBI used an online photo 2004 campaign image of Gaspar in their Bin Laden ‘Age Progression’ photo and that Gaspar may sue the U.S. government.
The FBI pulled the photo from their website, the Most Wanted Terrorists Bin Laden webpage. The new FBI designation, ‘Usama Bin Laden’, ‘Deceased’.
