-The tornado traveled on the ground an incredible 218 miles in ‘two hours’ smashing through Tuscaloosa late Wednesday afternoon then sideswiping Birmingham before its path headed in the direction of northeast Alabama-northwest Georgia.

Wednesday night in northwest Georgia a massive tornado devastated the small community of Ringgold, Georgia, leaving 8 fatalities. According to news reports, the tornado ‘dumped a sign’ from Ringgold in Knoxville, Tennessee, 112 miles from Ringgold.
