Expert says 1,000 dead Turtle Doves in Italy that dropped from the sky died from overeating, indigestion

‘Scorched’ Striped Dolphin, victim of dolphin ‘mass suicide’ in the fall of 2007 in Iran

The good news, some in the MSM are paying attention to the new mystery dead birds reports and the dead fish stories across the U.S. and the globe. The latest reports, 100 dead birds were discovered near Geyserville, California. Another mystery, why, after the dead birds were discovered on Saturday, the news media still doesn’t know the species of the birds? In the news reports, the birds’ description:

KTVU.com:

‘They all appear to be the same species – small in size with black and brown feathers.’

More from the Washington Post:

GEYSERVILLE, Calif. — California wildlife officials are trying to figure out what caused the death of more than 100 birds found clustered together just off Highway 101.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that California Highway Patrol officers found the dead birds near the roadway on Saturday and called in the state Department of Fish and Game to investigate.

The officers who found the birds described them as small with brown and black feathers. They were intact and had not been shot.

Over at the U.K.’s Mirror, the report of the thousands of dead fish discovered in and around the Chicago harbor. No word yet on what killed the fish.

The Mirror report included the latest list of the ‘mass animal deaths all around the world’:

-Thousands of dead fish found in a creek in Florida,

-200 American Coots found dead on a bridge in Tyler, Texas,

-Hundreds of dead blackbirds in Wilson County, Tennessee,

-In New Zealand, hundreds of red snapper fish washed up dead‘,

Brazil scientists have also been left baffled after 100 tons of sardines, catfish and croaker washed up dead near Parangua.’

Over at the U.K.’s Daily Mail the report Overeating and indigestion blamed for 1,000 turtle doves falling dead in Italy with strange blue stain on their beaks.

Overeating and indigestion, the cause of death, an explanation you’d find in Charles Fort’s The Book Of The Damned, published in 1920.

More from the Daily Mail:

Thousands of dead turtle doves that rained down on roofs and cars in an Italian town were victims of their on greed, an expert claimed today.

Residents in Faenza described the birds falling to the ground like ‘little Christmas balls’ with strange blue stains on their beaks.

Last night it emerged that 40 turtle doves had also been found dead at San Cesario near Modena, 60 miles from Faenza, and tests were also being carried out on their bodies.

Two more mysterious animal deaths:

-Thousands of ‘devil crabs’ washed up along the Kent coast near Thanet,
-Two million small fish in Chesapeake Bay, Maryland

The mysterious animal deaths which led to the mainstream media’s interest in reporting these types of stories, the New Year’s Eve death of 5,000 blackbirds that fell from the sky in a one mile area in Beebe, Arkansas.. The official explanation, a ‘mass mid-air collision’, the birds’ deaths ‘most likely caused by fireworks’. The report from the Wall Street Journal, ‘some scientists ruled out fireworks‘.

The conflicting conclusions as to the cause of death led us to conclude there seems to be similar parallels to the mysterious deaths and the conflicting news reports to the 1920 book written by Charles Fort, the inspiration for the Fortean Society. Fort’s book, The Book Of The Damned, a collection of ‘oddities’, weird, unexplained events. After wading through half of the book, reading the numerous unexplained events which occurred in the 1600′s, 1700′s, and 1800′s, the observation, what would the MSM report if, during a cloudless blue sky day, the sky suddenly turned black, and stayed black for 15 minutes? An eclipse of the sun, ruled out by experts and scientists. Fort wrote such an event occurred in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1904. The sky inexplicably turned black in Tennessee, one of several ‘sky turned black’ unexplained events across the globe Fort reported in his Book Of The Damned.

Fort, a former newspaper reporter and fiction writer discovered ‘oddities’ while digging through library archives. Events recorded in Weather Reviews, ancient Scientific American and historical periodicals. Events in the past which were either unexplained, couldn’t be explained by ‘science’, or explained by experts who came up with explanations similar to the Turtles Doves died from overeating or indigestion. Fort would have added to his collection of ‘oddities’ the 2008 news report from the U.K.’s Daily Mail, Dolphins found dead off Cornish coast ‘committed suicide’, wildlife expert claims.

A leading scientist has compared the deaths of 26 dolphins in Cornwall to a “mass suicide” – a natural phenomenon found in the species.

Veterinary wildlife pathologist Vic Simpson, who has examined the bodies, says the animals died after they inhaled debris and mud that clogged their insides.

He said the scenes in the River Percuil, where 26 dolphin carcasses were washed up on Monday, looked like “some sort of mass suicide”.

More from the Daily Mail:

The largest known cases of dolphin suicide was in September and October last year when 152 striped dolphins washed up on the coast of southern Iran.

Locals who battled to save them by taking them back out to sea were distraught when the dolphins refused and persistently re-beached themselves to die.

The case of the dolphin suicides on the coast of southern Iran in 2007, another Charles Fort ‘oddity’.

October 30, 2007, Environmentalists alarmed by ‘mass dolphin suicide’:

The mysterious “mass suicide” of 152 dolphins washed up on Iran’s coast over the past month has alarmed environmentalists, with the blame pointed at regional fishing practices.

At the end of September, 79 Striped Dolphins were found washed up off the southern port of Jask in southern Iran, and last week another 73 dolphins were found dead in the same area.

Pictures of rows of dolphin corpses in the sand have been widely featured in Iranian newspapers, which said the dolphins had “committed suicide” – behaviour the animals have exhibited on occasion in the wild.

“The suicide of dolphins on Jask’s coast continues,” the Governmental Iran newspaper wrote on Saturday. “Locals tried to put the animals back in the water but they refused to return.”

The scale of concern over the deaths of the highly intelligent mammals has prompted Iran’s environmental protection authorities to show a dead dolphin corpse to the press to explain the “suicides”.

Mohammad Baqer Nabavi, deputy head of Iran’s environmental protection organisation in charge of marine biology, said the most likely explanation was that the dolphins drowned after becoming entangled in fishing nets rather than because of pollution.

“We did not spot pollution in the tissue of the dead dolphins a month ago,” he told reporters.

“We are basing our hypothesis for the suicide on fishing – either nets left at the bottom of the Persian Gulf or the big fishing nets that ships spread to catch different kinds of fish,” Mr Nabavi added.

A video at Youtube which was purportedly made by an individual living in Bandar Lengeh on the Persian Gulf when the dead dolphins were discovered in Iran. An individual who claimed the area experienced numerous 3.0 earthquakes which occurred for two weeks, the ocean turned into a bright red color, dead fish and ‘burnt’ dolphins. The conspiracy theory touted in the video, the earthquakes, red sea, dead fish and dolphin mass suicide was caused by HAARP.

Back to Fort’s Book Of The Damned, before HAARP and what occurred in the Persian Gulf in May of 1880, the sighting of a mysterious ‘enormous luminous wheel’ beneath the British India Steamer Patna.

Pages 270-71, Book Of The Damned

Fort discovered the report of the enormous luminous wheel in an edition of Knowledge, Dec. 28, 1883.

Passengers on the Patna, during a voyage up the Persian Gulf in May of 1880 on a ‘dark night’ spotted an enormous luminous wheel that ‘suddenly appeared on both sides of the ship’, the ‘phosphorous gleam seemed to glide along flat on the surface of the sea, no light being visible in air above the water’. The wheels ‘whirling around’, ‘brushing the sides of the ship’. The spokes, ’200-300 yards long’. The passengers got a good look as the wheel stayed with the ship for a period of twenty minutes. Each wheel ‘contained about 16 spokes’. Two witnesses, the Captain and third officer.

The only thing unusual about all these ‘mass animal dieoffs’ is the reporting of them. In the past these events garnered no interest by the media and were not reported. Now, like the over-reporting of the H1N1 impending global pandemic catastrophe, the media has created a 3 ring circus around normal wildlife events. The USGS National Wildlife Health Center has been tracking and recording these events since at least 1975. Here are a few links for those who actually want to know whose minds aren’t already made up as to why this is happening.

    Bernie,

Had time to peruse the USGS links. Listed over at the USGS, the report of 900 Turkey vultures and hawks that died in November in Louisiana. The ’cause’ listed as ‘drowning’ and ‘emaciation’. A rather unusual report for the death of 900 birds in the Dade-Monroe area with only two species listed.

Tropical storm Ida hit the area in November of 2009… I would think that a large bird in high winds and rain could have a lot of difficulty.

Sorry, was still thinking this was 2010. However I am sure that severe weather such as hurricanes, tornados and wind shear would have a large impact on birds.

    Hi Bernie,

You’re right, storms could affect birds. In my opinion, a large majority of bird deaths and fish kills are related to causes which aren’t so bizarre. Over at the USGS list there’s cases which are still ‘open’ and undetermined, cases which are unexplained. With the advent of modern science the inability to determine a cause, baffling.
