While authorities continue to investigate 22-yr-old Jared Lee Loughner’s motives for shooting Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, killing six people including a 9-yr-old girl, a journalist at the New York Daily News wrote an article which, according to comments, may lead to ‘blood on the journalist’s hands’ if someone murders Sarah Palin. The journalist, Michael Daly. The headline:
‘Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ blood is on Sarah Palin’s hands after putting cross hair over district‘.
I won’t even bother to post any quotes from Daley’s article, a tie-the-shootings on Sarah Palin opinion piece. An article which, according to the majority of the comments, resulted in extreme anger at Daley and the Daily News. Some of comments called for Daley and his editor to be fired. Comments of, Sarah Palin should sue the New York Daily News. Daley’s article, an ‘assassination of Sarah Palin’. Daley, the ‘lowest of the low’, using the tragedy in Arizona for ‘political gain’. If anything happened to Sarah Palin or members of her family, Daley would have ‘blood on his hands’ after writing what many considered an inciting hatred of Sarah Palin opinion piece.
While Daly was overly eager to tie the shootings to Sarah Palin, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Jared Lee Loughner may have been obsessed with Congresswoman Giffords since 2007. In 2007, an incident which may have triggered Loughner’s obsession with Giffords.

A safe at Mr. Loughner’s home contained a form letter from Ms. Giffords’ office thanking him for attending a 2007 “Congress on your Corner” event in Tucson. The safe also held an envelope with handwritten notes, including the name of Ms. Giffords, as well as “I planned ahead,” “My assassination,” and what appeared to be Mr. Loughner’s signature, according to an FBI affidavit.
And,

Mr. Loughner had complained to a friend about how he was treated by the Arizona lawmaker during an event several years ago, which aggravated Mr. Loughner, according to the friend.

That interest might have triggered Mr. Loughner’s first meeting with Ms. Giffords in 2007. Mr. Loughner said he asked the lawmaker, “How do you know words mean anything?” recalled Mr. Montanaro. He said Mr. Loughner was “aggravated” when Ms. Giffords, after pausing for a couple of seconds, “responded to him in Spanish and moved on with the meeting.”

[...] Yesterday, January 9th, Michael Daly of the New York Daily News reported that Sarah Palin has blood on her hands as a result of the senseless shooting of multiple people in Arizona. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/columnists/daly/index.html. The article I posted yesterday on this blog was similar in tone. The only real difference was that I had been writing about the dangerous nature of Palin’s venomous words and posts for many months. http://malialitman.wordpress.com/2011/01/09/sarah-palins-mission-accomplished/. Mr. Daly has come under fire for his article.
