Lisa Murkowski: To Serve Alaskans
Lisa Murkowski: The female Charlie Crist
Lisa Murkowsi’s claim that she only wants to serve Alaskans is one of the themes of her write-in campaign to remain in DC. Reminds of us another who only wanted to serve.

IF YOU BELIEVE LISA MURKOWSKI IS IN IT TO SERVE ALASKANS, WRITE HER IN
Lisa Murkowski only wants to serve Alaskans.
That’s what she’s saying.
Can everyone now agree that what motivates Murkowski is not the perks/power gene that runs in her family, but her never-ending quest “to serve” the residents of our 49th state?
You have to give Lisa Murkowski credit: when it comes to clinging to the perks and power to which she’s accustomed, her spin “This is one woman who won’t quit on Alaska” is an inspiration to DC-addicted pols of future generations.
Exit question: Time to start making newly elected senators sign pledges promising to drop out if they lose a primary in the future? That won’t stop them from breaking their promises, of course, but it’ll remind voters of what lying little weasels they are when they do.
Nominally a Republican, Murkowski has thrown that baggage from her campaign bus, as she goes about re-branding herself as a selfless woman of independent thought. Of course, after the election, she was a woman of selfless Libertarian thought–until the Alaskan Libertarian Party told her, “Thanks, but no thanks,” to her outreach to run as Libertarian after her Republican primary loss to Joe Miller.
Might another form of transportation be substituted for the Murkowski campaign bus?

Lisa Murkowski’s new theme that she only wants to serve Alaskans brings to mind an old Twilight Zone episode.
How many in the 49th state will support Lisa Murkowski’s bid to return to the Twilight Zone of Washington DC?
How many Alaskans will climb onboard Lisa Murkowski’s “To Serve Alaskans” write-in ship?
On November 2, who will be left in Alaska–and how many will be on the Murkowski ship?
All are questions that will be answered on November 2.

Lisa, your course of action is going to put a democrat in your seat. Is that what you want? The BEST thing for Alaska is for you to accept defeat and ask your supporters to put all their efforts into keeping a republican in that seat.

So the opposition to Murkowski is going to play like this, eh? Compare her to visuals of monsters and aliens? I think I see why she refuses to let her seat go to such people without one mother of a fight.
And I think she’s got more guts than the whole lot of you.

Kelly M,
why she refuses to let her seat go
I agree. Lisa Murkowski’s bid to stay in the 100 Club has nothing to do with anything except the noblest, highest ideals. Anyone suggesting otherwise is a con artist!
And I think she’s got more guts than the whole lot of you.
Of course you do! I know what a tough job it was to philosophically go from a Republican to a Libertarian to an independent in the course of 10 days. It had to be mentally exhausting!
I’m sorry, tell me what the “lot of (me)” might do to make it all up. Like Murkowski, I live only to serve my fellow man.
Thanks for your comment.

And Ben, if anything, Lisa’s entry has just eliminated the risk of McAdams winning. He was actually just trailing Miller before Lisa re-entered the race, because Miller is way too extreme for a good deal of Alaskan Republicans – as evidenced by his very narrow primary win. The Tea Party Express DOES NOT speak for all Alaskan Republicans!

So you’re saying that by Murkowski running against the Republican winner, she’s actually doing the Republican Party more good?
Do you live in Washington DC by any chance?
