At 10:21 PM EST, via live audio feed from the Boulder Country Sheriff and Fire Department, officials directing deputies to look for vehicles owned by a person living in the area devastated by the fire who has been missing since Monday morning. Approximately 3500 people evacuated from 1000 homes.
Communities impacted by this fire include Four Mile Canyon, Sunshine Canyon, Gold Hill, Sugarloaf, Pinebrook Hills, and Boulder Heights. Approximately 3,500 residents are under manditory evacuation.
According to the latest from the AP, the Fourmile Canyon wildfire has destroyed “more than 130 homes” . The fire, in three days, an estimated 6200 acres or ten square miles. According to a recent press release from the Boulder County Government Online website, the list of homes confirmed by officials now “stands at 139″. Including in the press release, the addresses of the homes destroyed.

Boulder County, Colo. – The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office has removed one home from the list of structures that have been destroyed by the Fourmile Canyon wildfire. This list is subject to change.
The list now stands at 139 after the removal of 280 Mountain King Road.
The list identifies structures confirmed as having been destroyed as of 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8. The list was compiled by Sheriff’s deputies patrolling the burned areas. It is not a comprehensive list as deputies were unable to access some roads due to active fires in the area, particularly in the Logan Mill area.
The list represents deputies’ best efforts to locate address information utilizing mountain addressing maps and vehicle listings. The list will be revised as additional information becomes available. Unless identified as an outbuilding or other structure, the address represents a home or residence.

The origin of the fire authorities believe was the result of a car hitting a propane tank Monday morning at the base of Emerson Gulch.

According to the National Interagency Fire Agency the Fourmile Canyon fire is located 12 miles northwest of Boulder and is 0% contained.
According to the Daily Caller, the local Boulder newspaper, the “firefighter effort now has 10% of the perimeter”:
Firefighters – while focused on protecting homes – made progress battling the blaze by digging portions of a fire line east of the blaze, said Laura McConnell, spokeswoman for the county’s incident management team.
A “Type 2″ incident management team, including firefighters from numerous other states in the region, is battling the blaze overnight. Members of a federal “Type 1″ incident management team – the same level that responded to Hurricane Katrina – are expected to arrive soon.
Seven of the country’s 19 heavy air tankers have been sent to Colorado to fight the blaze, and McConnell said they dropped 35,000 gallons of fire retardant in 16 loads on the blaze Wednesday. Helicopters also made numerous drops of water, McConnell said.
