New York Post article describes person who tore pages out of a Koran as hate-filled

A “sorry band of men” who have operatives around the world, are in cahoots with Afghanistan’s Taliban. Are currently engaged in trying to overthrow the Pakistan government and blowing up innocent Muslims in Iraq and southeast Asia. A “sorry band of men” caught preaching in British mosques, death to Americans and British citizens. The U.K. who had their own 911 terrorist attack on July 7, 2005. Al-Qaeda operatives caught in the U.S. planning an attack on New York City in April. On May 1st, the botched Times Square car bomb attempt, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Pakistan caught while attempting to flee on a jet bound for Dubai. Failed Times Square car bomber Faisal Shahzad’s Al-Qaeda martyr video where Shahzad reads from the Koran. Shahzad, a junior financial analyst. On August 20, the Dept. of Defense released a “final report” on the November 5, 2009 Ft. Hood massacre, an attack by lone gunman Army psychiatrist, Maj. Nidal Hasan who killed 13 soldiers and wounded dozens. Missing from the report, any links between Hasan and Al-Qaeda.

The DoD report addresses the two-month Pentagon investigation that found numerous problems, including discrepancies between Hasan’s performance and his personnel records. Hasan was described as a loner with lazy work habits and a fixation on his Muslim religion, and he had been promoted to major based on an incomplete personnel file, investigators found.

Separately, the FBI has said it would revise its own procedures to make sure it notifies the Pentagon when it investigates a member of the military. In the Hasan case, a local joint terror task force run by the FBI with some military personnel examined Hasan but did not alert the Defense Department.

Caught in the middle, moderate Muslims. The President, preaching tolerance for Muslims and the right to build a mosque near Ground Zero. Missing from the President’s remarks, the fact New York City has 100 mosques, with 17 located in Manhattan. Also missing, any remarks to the public to be on the alert for potential Al-Qaeda terrorists in the U.S., terrorists from Somalia, who were ‘accidentally’ released from custody in Mexico.

On the day when President Obama spoke at the Pentagon’s 911 memorial service on Muslim tolerance, Afghanistan news reported Thousands of Afghans in anti-Quran-burning protest:

RAHIM FAIEZ Associated Press Writer= KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — Thousands of people protested in eastern Afghanistan on Saturday against a small American church’s earlier plan to burn the Muslim holy book, chanting “Death to America” and setting shops and police checkpoints on fire, officials said. Din Mohammad Darwish, spokesman for the governor of Logar province, said police fired warning shots into the air to prevent the protesters from storming the governor’s house. He said no injuries were immediately reported. He said a highway linking Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan was briefly blocked by the protesters.

On Youtube, a video of Afghan citizens burning an American flag and an effigy of Pastor Terry Jones, who called off the Koran burning protest.

Another Youtube video, from another Muslim protest in the U.K., moderate Muslims appalled by the protest, a protest which occurred after London had its own Islamic extremist terror attack, the London Subway, Bus attacks which killed dozens of people. Three rather eye-opening articles published on the ninth anniversary of 911 and Ground Zero in the three major New York City newspapers, a study in liberal cognitive dissonance, the justifications and rationalizations of liberal journalists and reporters reporting on the 911 Ground Zero protests and an op-ed piece calling Ground Zero, a “mosque”. Articles, which based on the comment sections in the New York Daily News and New York Post, indicate a large portion of the readers, absolutely flabbergasted at the articles, the papers, a columnist, and three reporters. Since the New York Times doesn’t have a comment section, the only way to measure whether the NYTimes and its content appeals to New Yorkers, is based on sales. On October 19, 2009, Media Decoder reported the NYTimes planned at the end of the year to “eliminate 100 news jobs”, had “already lowered its budgets for freelancers”, “trimmed other expenses”, with employees taking a ’5%’ cut in pay. First up, the New York Post’s Man burns Koran pages near Ground Zero, an article filed by three New York Post reporters. The opening paragraph:

A hate-filled protester was escorted away from the Ground Zero mosque site this morning after tearing apart a Koran and burning some of the pages — an early sign that the rancor was ramping up as numerous protests were set to begin.

One person’s comment:

Wait a second… “A hate filled”….?? Really now, so when they burn our flag, they are “protesting,” When they burn our bibles, it is not even spoken of.

With journalistic integrity such as this, “We” have already lost. I look forward to Sharia Law – all of the infidels who helped bring about Totalitarianism in this nation and extinguished the last light of freedom on earth will be the first to face the wrath of the religion of peace and love.

Traitors are always despised even by those they assist.

What would the description be of a Muslim man tearing pages from the Christian Bible and burning them? I don’t know as it would never be allowed in the news – but I can guarantee “hate filled” would not be among the adjectives.

But on the southwest corner of Church and Park, pro-mosque demonstrators behind metal barriers have already gathered for their rally.

A firefighter, in full uniform, was livid, getting into a shouting match with them.

“They are giving them a platform on the same block I’m being excluded from walking down the street in an FDNY uniform,” he said, refusing to give his name.

And,

A retired firefighter lieutenant from Brooklyn’s Engine 226 angrily flipped the bird to a pro-mosque demonstrator wearing a Mao cap. He was there on 9/11, in the North Tower, he said.

“I don’t care if they build a mosque, but I don’t want to hear their Islamic prayers wafting over the grave site,” he fumed.

Over at the New York Daily News, an editorial by Mike Daly, the New York Daily News link to the article headline, Ground Zero is a Mosque. The actual title of the op-ed piece, Ground Zero was sanctified by the blood of the fallen on 9/11 – regardless of religion.

Daly:

Ground Zero is a mosque.

It is also a church and a synagogue and a temple and an ashram on ground made holy by those of all faiths who died there.

The God of this hallowed place is the one to whom I heard even atheists appeal as the towers burned and innocents trapped in hell on high leapt to certain death.

And,

The holiness has been reaffirmed at each anniversary, when the surviving loved ones and friends have gathered at what went from crime scene to pile to pit to construction site.

On that day, differences in politics and faith have always seemed at least momentarily unimportant.

Each anniversary has been a victory for us and a defeat for the terrorists who hoped to divide us and incite us into being less than we are.

This year, contention over the proposed Islamic center has threatened to intrude upon the observance.

The proximity of grief and anger makes the reflexive objections from some 9/11 families understandable.

A number of reprehensible self-promoters who do not even live here and who do not merit mention by name have sought to inflame the situation.

Never mind that they are doing what our enemies want us to do.

Never mind that our strategy in Afghanistan involves our military arming and training Muslims with the hope they will take up the fight against the extremists.

I listen to the Muslim-haters and I think of a murdered firefighter’s son who today will be holding a 9/11 memorial at Forward Operating Base Farah in Afghanistan.

Ground Zero is a neither mosque, church, synagogue, temple nor ashram. It is not a place of worship. It is gravesite and will continue to be that until a proper memorial is completed. NYC and the world will properly begin the healing process when the hole in the ground that was the Twin Towers is finally completed which, in my opinion, is LONG OVERDUE! Let’s stop calling this place Ground Zero, it is the site of a terrorist act.

We’ve also wondered why Obama didn’t go to New York City or Ground Zero on 911. We posted about this subject earlier today. We wondered if Obama returning to the Pentagon for a second year in a row may have been related to an article which hasn’t been reported by mainstream news outlets, the Pakistani Minister who, on September 2nd, demanded the Pakistani newspaper The Nation print the Pakistani Minister’s call for Obama to go to Ground Zero on 911. (The paper printed the Pakastani Minister’s request for Obama.) The request Obama say Muslims prayers at Ground Zero on a Muslim holiday which marks the end of Ramadan which happened to fall on 911. The Pakistani minister, an Ayatollah, informing the newspaper after Obama said the Muslim prayers Obama would earn the Islam title of Caliph, the Islamic version of the Catholic Pope. It’s a sure bet liberal journalists and pundits will 1) Never mention the Pakistani Minister news article, or 2) Call the Pakistani Minister, an Ayatollah, the Muslim equivalent of a Catholic Bishop or Cardinal, a Muslim who believes Obama is a Muslim, a “bigot”, “hate-filled”, or “intolerant”, terms which liberals apply to non-Muslim Americans who believe Obama is a Muslim.

Last but not least, the New York Times and their 911 op-ed piece, Sept. 11, 2010: The Right Way to Remember an article which focused on the rebuilding of Ground Zero and the “intolerance and fear that have mushroomed across the nation”:

That physical rebirth is cause for celebration on this anniversary. It is a far more fitting way to defy the hate-filled extremists who attacked the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, and to honor their victims, than to wallow in the intolerance and fear that have mushroomed across the nation.
