Does the Bachelorette: Ali Final Rose episode have a surprise ending?
Here’s our reaction when we found out about the possibility of a surprise ending:
According to a recent EOnline article ABC’s Bachelorette: Ali Final Rose episode is gonna have a “surprising outcome” with season six of the Bachelorette taking a “different path” from prior seasons. Were these a couple of clues of what will go down during the Final Rose episode? We did some prior Bachelorette research and discovered a two scenarios which have yet to happen on The Bachelorette. Scenarios which back up ABC Bachelor/Bachelorette spoiler nemesis Reality Steve’s claim Ali Fedotowsky is single. A claim Reality Steve made way back on June 18th.
After Ali makes her final decision, she and host Chris Harrison sit down for the hourlong special, “After the Final Rose,” in which they handicap the entire season and Ali reveals what led her to making her final decision. In addition, Chris L. and Roberto return to talk about the surprising outcome.
“The Bachelorette” finale airs Monday, Aug. 2 at 8 p.m. on ABC, immediately followed by “After the Final Rose.”
Searching for clues for the “surprising outcome” of the Final Rose episode we found the following blockquote from EOnline interesting:
This season finale of “The Bachelorette” is touted as not following the same path as previous seasons, which makes it unclear if Ali Fedotowsky presents the final rose to either Chris L. or Roberto, or maybe picks no one at all and walks away alone.
Since ABC has ‘touted’ the final rose episode with Ali as ‘not following the same path as previous seasons’ we checked out the paths The Bachelorette took in prior seasons.
The Bachelorette: Ali is the sixth season of The Bachelorette. In the five prior seasons there were six proposals, two of which occurred in season three :
Demonstrating that the bloom is definitely off The Bachelor rose regardless of whether a man or woman is doing the picking, Bachelorette Jen Schefft set a new Bachelor breakup record during last night’s season finale, rejecting the marriage proposals of both her Final 2 suitors — including that of selected final suitor Jerry Ferris.
Jen may have rejected two marriage proposals but not before giving the final rose to Jerry Ferris:
Jen gave her final rose to art gallery director Jerry Ferris, but declined his ring. “I want you to keep that,” she said. “I want you to give it back to me if you feel the same way about me down the road that you do now.” But when the two reunited on the After the Final Rose special, Jen still wasn’t ready to wear his ring. Jen went on to write the book Better Single Than Sorry: A No Regrets Guide to Loving Yourself and Never Settling.
Jen got her second proposal from John Paul Merritt. Merritt’s proposal was actually lucky Jen’s third reality tv proposal, with Jen getting a final rose and a proposal from Andrew Firestone in season three of the Bachelor.
Firestone added he “was going above and beyond to try to make it work” with Schefft, but she eventually starred in The Bachelorette’s third season in Winter 2005. Schefft subsequently rejected marriage proposals from both Jerry Ferris and John Paul Merritt in The Bachelorette’s third-season finale.
“I would never point fingers, but when Jen did The Bachelorette, I was like, ‘Okay, you see now that there might have been an issue?’ Did that look like somebody who wanted to be in a committed relationship and make things work?” Firestone asked Us. “That was — in a small way — vindicating. People saw that maybe she wasn’t ready, maybe it wasn’t my fault. I felt relieved a little.”
Based on our Bachelorette research, in each season of the Bachelorette prior to season six with Ali Fedotowsky there was a proposal in each season. In season three Jen Schefft turned down two proposals after giving the final rose to Jerry Ferris.
Scenarios which have yet to occur–taking a different path, a “surprising outcome” during the final rose episode:
-Ali Fedotowsky doesn’t give out the final rose, or,
-Ali gives out the final rose to Chris or Roberto and doesn’t get a proposal.
ABC spoiler king Reality Steve is adamant Ali is single with Reality Steve stating his sources told him “Ali left Bora Bora a single woman”.
Reality Steve posted his spoiler info on June 18th Ali was single. RS’s spoiler, if it holds true, doesn’t change ABC’s “surprise outcome” if Ali keeps the final rose or, if Ali gives the final rose but doesn’t get a proposal. Two scenarios which, in Bachelorette history, have yet to occur.
Meanwhile there’s a behind the reality tv scenes mini-drama being played out between Reality Steve and the ABC producers of the Bachelor/Bachelorette including RS’s claim ABC hired private investigators to ferret out RS’ ABC moles and the possibility ABC producers of the Bachelor/Bachelorette are setting up Reality Steve.
Also in the mix, a State Farm agent named Roberto Martinez who recently registered with the state of California listing a State Farm office located in Irvine, 50 miles from the ABC Studios in sunny Burbank, CA.

I thought Chris Harrison’s remark a few weeks ago to be very insightful when he commented to Ali that he thought maybe she was afraid to commit. That may be true and I can understand that in today’s world of marriage/divorce. Perhaps Ali, who is totally fair to everyone, feels that Kirk got a bum deal due to Frank and she wants to date all three for a while off camera. Frankly, while I think Chris (of the final two) is a good, hardworking guy, but I don’t see him as even close to Ali’s type. I think her attraction to him was (1) regional; (2) feeling sorry for him due to his constant talking about his ‘trials and tribulations’. I think that would get very tiresome. I think he is to be respected for taking care of his mother…. in conjunction with his father’s care, his other siblings and their spouses. He makes it sound like he was some hero for doing that when there were other family members there too. I think that constant need for ‘pats on the back’ for Chris would get very old very quickly. Go for Roberto or go home alone, Ali. Prediction, IF she goes home alone, Kirk and Jake will be banging on her door. Also, there’s little doubt that Ali… gorgeous as she is and loveable too, will be offered some other TV or movie slot for us to watch.

You are leaving out that they reported on E! that Ali and ABC claim that she took a path not yet seen on the Bachelorette/Bachelor seasons. Brad Womack already rejected his two suitors, so if she doesn’t pick either guy, she’s not taking a new path. They’re saying that she’s doing something that we haven’t yet seen on any finale of the bachelor or bachelorette. I think they’re hyping up the finale for ratings. I don’t think it will be all that suprising.

Charlie O’Connell said he was not ready to make a decision after he narrowed it down to Sarah and Krisley. He dated both of them off camera and then chose Sarah. So a scenario where Ali chooses neither Chris nor Roberto, but continues to date both, has already been done.

I think Ali is not ready to settle down and she got a taste of being loose for the past couple weeks and instead of choosing one she wants to be single and whore it up a little. I do think her choice was Frank, why I don’t know he is a loser, but when he did that to her she realized that this is really to short of a time to fully know somebody and doesn’t trust getting hitched after such a short time.
