Reality show spin-off Bravo bait to lure Danielle into taping season two reunion episode?
Did Bravo play cat and mouse with Danielle Staub?
We love reality TV rumors intrigue. Today, Life & Style reported Bravo insiders claim Bravo informed Danielle Staub she wouldn’t be returning for season three. L&S reported Bravo letting Danielle go came as a “complete shock” to Danielle Staub. Congenial Bravo host Andy Cohen, Senior Vice President of Programming and Production at Bravo, is on vacation, headed for Tahiti. [Note to Andy: Check in under an assumed name] Danielle responded on her Twitter page and released the same statement to US Weekly, Danielle “wasn’t even thinking about season three” and “Don’t worry next year, I’ll still be the one you either love to hate or hate to love..”.

Us Weekly reported Bravo rep’s claimed they were involved with season two and hadn’t made any announcements about season three. The Bravo rep’s didn’t confirm or deny Danielle wouldn’t be a cast member on season three of Real Housewives of New Jersey. Danielle’s statement didn’t state the obvious, where Danielle will be “next year”.
Here’s the obvious:
Bravo has a pattern of ditching Real Housewives cast members in two distinct ways:
1) The graceful Real Housewive’s exit, or, 2) The unexpected pink slip.
Graceful exits include Real Housewives of Orange County’s Kimberly Bryant, Lauri Waring Peterson, Jo de La Rosa, Tammy Knickerbocker, and Jeana Keough.

Bravo is making a few cast changes and who knows – I must have not been the right fit on the show or too old or whatever? People have been asking me… what they could do to keep me on and I’m not too sure. I suppose if you really want to see return, you could make some noise and email Bravo to tell them!
I had so many more things that I wanted to share with everyone this summer and I really felt that you are just getting to know me. Plus, I’ve lost weight as many of you have seen and I could help others I think. But all in all, it was a blast while it lasted and I’ll always be a Season 3 Housewife.

In press releases Bravo never mentioned Quinn Fry’s departure. When the next season of RHOOC aired, none of Quinn’s former cast members mentioned Quinn had left the show. Last week, Real Housewives of Orange County’s Lynne Curtin posted on Facebook she was shocked to discover she wasn’t asked to return next season. (A Bravo production crew is currently filming season six of Real Housewives of Orange County.)
“Rumor has it that I will not be returning for ‘season 6.’ That rumor is true! “I am broken hearted! I was so let down the way this came about! We were the last to know! I guess Bravo has to do what they have to do! I thought we had a great relationship! I guess I was wrong! Its funny how fast offers came to us from other places! Thats how we found out we were not returning! Funny how life can be!”
Lynne Curtin must have known something was up since 1) Filming for season six of RHOOC had already begun, and, 2) Bravo added new cast members Peggy Tanous and Micah Tanous, long time pals of Alexis and Jim Bellino.
So far, Bravo hasn’t issued a press release of Lynne Curtin’s departure. Most likely, Bravo never will. The news Peggy Tanous was a new cast member was reported by Radar. So far, Bravo hasn’t announced Peggy is a new cast member.
If the rumor is true Bravo fired Danielle Staub, did Bravo play a game of cat and mouse with Danielle?
Part of the game, Bravo’s season two reunion episode which was filmed during the first week of August. Bravo had a problem, how to get Danielle and her cast members together in the same studio. Was part of the solution, Bravo “in talks” with Danielle for her own Bravo spin-off?

On August 10, NBC News reported Danielle, at her 48th birthday bash at a Manhattan ‘icon’ strip club, said she had a “reality spin-off show in the works”:
“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Danielle Staub revealed during her strip-club birthday bash last night that she is in the works of creating her own spin-off reality show. “It will definitely be a lot more of her (gal pal Lori Michaels) and I and definitely my kids,” Staub told Niteside before her 48th birthday bash at high-end strip club Scores in Manhattan. “There will be a lot of questions that will be answered.”
Questions? About Danielle and her ‘relationship’ with ‘hot lesbian singer’ Lori Michaels, we could care less can hardly wait for the answers!
“Spin-off” implies Bravo as Real Housewives of New Jersey is the only reality show in Danielle’s reality tv resume.
“In the works” usually means the ink is dried on the contract with a production company. Danielle’s being “in the works of creating her own spin-off reality show” could have meant Danielle was in talks with Bravo about her own spin-off, a spin-off which wasn’t actually, in the works. There’s been two Bravo Real Housewive’s spin-off’s: The very successful Bethenny’s Getting Married? and the Bravo dud, Jo and Slade: Meet My Ex.
Did Danielle cut off her nose to spite her face?
On July13, one day after Bravo aired the Posche Fashion Show episode Danielle’s attorney stated he was going to file civil suits, criminal charges, and restraining orders against Danielle’s Real Housewives cast members related to the Posche Fashion Show fight. Danielle’s attorney claimed he was going to use Bravo footage. In short, Danielle Staub intended to embroil her employer, Bravo, in a civil lawsuit involving cast members. Danielle’s attorney made the statement the day after Bravo aired the Posche episode. After hearing from Danielle’s attorney, you had to wonder, how would Bravo film the reunion episode if restraining orders had been issued? Was Bravo pleased a cast member was about to drag them into court using Bravo footage in a civil lawsuit seeking damages? Did Bravo begin to wonder whether, in the future, Danielle Staub would sue Bravo, an entity with far more deeper pockets than Ashley Holmes, Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Holmes?
On July 16, three days after Danielle’s attorney claimed he was going to embroil Bravo in a Danielle Staub civil suit, former cast member Steve Jalewski filed a civil suit against Danielle, a civil suit which would, once again, involve Bravo, and Bravo footage in a civil suit.
RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that Staub’s ex, Stephen Zalewski, is suing the reality TV star for defamation of character and harassment.
In the suit being filed Thursday in Morris County Superior Court in New Jersey, Zalewski claims Staub’s comments on the show regarding the sex tape are outright false.
The suit says that in the episode titled “Play at Your Own Risk”, Staub claims that Zalewski had filmed the sex tape without her knowledge or consent.Zwaleski’s attorney, Nase Naumoski, tells us exclusively that Staub absolutely knew about the sex tape – and had even filmed parts of it herself!
Bravo filmed the reunion episode during the first week of August. On July 26th during his Watch What Happens Live! show, Andy Cohen told viewers WWHL! would be back in September with Andy taking an extended vacation. Today, Andy posted on Twitter he was in LA, en route to Tahiti, a perfect location for an executive producer of Real Housewives of New Jersey and Bravo Senior Vice President of Programming and Production if the “Bravo fired Danielle Staub” rumor is true.

I am so happy to hear that Danielle got the boot! It is obvious that she has mental and insecurity issues. Bravo can find a corrupt sleazy nutcase like Danielle on any street corner..so why put this one on TV? She needs to check herself into a mental institution…not be given a TV Show!

Casting the Manzo harpies with Danielle as the lone outsider was a mistake in itself. If bravo fired Danielle for standing up for herselves after a physical attack by these sanctimonious shrews, the I hope danielle does due Bravo too.
It’s obvious from watching the episode where Joe tries to tell a lie about the details of his dwi (says he drank After the wreck, not before), that this family will lie through their teeth about anything snd everything . Joe, you’re story was’t even credible.

Danielle is an idiot! She loves drama and is so jealous of all the other housewives. The messages from people who are bashing Teresa, Caroline and Jacqueline are probably from Danielle!!! Yea Danielle you would do something so evil and dirty! I’m so glad you will NOT be on RHONJ! You ruin the show.

I wondered what in the world was wrong with BRAVO. To put these women in jeopardy with Staub and her crew of motley men running around with guns, while they calmly drove alone. I even got on Dina’s blog before she left and told her that I held my breath, and then would try to remember there had to be a camera crew there. Keeping a dangerous felon like Staub around even endangered their own employees. It was truly the scariest reality show I have ever watched, and I have watched a lot in the last ten years. Thank God they got rid of her…..but will she go easily into the night? I hope all the cast members have some sort of protection now. And I hope Bravo is paying for it.
