Hidden in the Stimulus bill is the REQUIREMENT that health care records contain body mass index (BMI)–and be available to the faceless bureaucrats who people the coming Health Care Secretariat. Quick, hide the Twinkies!
NEW MANDATES HIDDEN IN STIMULUS BILL
The Fat Police are coming.
But first, they have to make a list to find out who’s naughty or nice–or overweight.
More rules for the not-so-little-people spring from the Obama agenda as rammed through Congress last year.
(CNSNews.com) – New federal regulations issued this week stipulate that the electronic health records–that all Americans are supposed to have by 2014 under the terms of the stimulus law that President Barack Obama signed last year–must record not only the traditional measures of height and weight, but also the Body Mass Index: a measure of obesity.
The obesity-rating regulation states that every American’s electronic health record must: “Calculate body mass index. Automatically calculate and display body mass index (BMI) based on a patient’s height and weight.”
And pray tell, what will the government do with all of those BMI statistics that Americans ARE ORDERED to provide? Allow them to collect dust?
Maybe. According to the link:
“According to the CDC, “BMI provides a reliable indicator of body fatness for most people and is used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health problems.”
A person’s BMI score is used as a tool to screen for obesity or excessive body fat that could lead to other health problems. While it does not actually measure body fat directly, according to CDC, the BMI scores generally correlate with a person’s body fat percentage.”

“Obesity will then cease to become a personal problem and, in that Orwellian/Clintonian near-nanny-state-future, will become a problem with which the government will concern itself.”
Welcome to that future.
Or maybe Michelle Obama wants some teeth for her Obesity Prevention Program? Here’s a little from a recent email from the First Lady.
And it will help us tackle an issue that is dear to my heart — childhood obesity. As some of you know one of my top priorities as First Lady is the Let’s Move! campaign, where we have made it our goal to put a stop to the challenge of childhood obesity within a generation, so children who are born today grow up at a healthy weight.
When the Health Nazis went after smokers, it was predicted that fat people would be next. That was roundly laughed at by those fine Progressives who know best how to live other people’s lives.

Next, global community types–like our current president felt that Obesity Requires Global Action Like Climate Change.
As we said then: it’s not about smoking, it’s not about being overweight. It’s about telling others what to do.
Control. By the Government. By bureaucrats. Who will never be accountable to the people they rule with their petty tyranny.
The BMI requirements are just one more step.
If it’s all so innocent, why do they always bury these mandates in bills about something else completely–to be discovered months later AFTER the bill is law?

You just had to know it was coming because if they are going to go after the smokers its only fair they go after the fatties. How about just letting people live their lives the way they want to and make the people who make stupid choices pay more or just let them die. After all isn’t that really what they are doing to themselves anyways?

People of America if you are a true patriot and love your freedom you better wake up quick. This is not China, Cuba or any other communist/socialist country. This is America, the only country in the world that has the freedoms we so take for granted. This kind of madness that is coming out of this administration has to STOP now and we the people are the only ones who still have the power to do so. If we do not start voting these kind of radicals out of office I am afraid we are going to lose our America. We are not servants to these people’s beliefs. Now is the time to speak up loud and stop them from trying to social engineer us into a life our forefathers fought so hard to never happen. This is only 1 of many new laws to come our way to change our society, please lets stop this now because if we do nothing our USA will look more like USSR when Obama if done.
