Great post. Thanks for sharing all of the quotes by Cas Sunstein.

Can you imagine going to the Drudge Report one day and getting spammed by pop-ups promoting the Huffington Post or the White House blog? This could certainly be used as an intimidation tactic by the government to silence the viewpoint of the opposition.

The Libs thinks that it’s great now that their man is in the White House but how would they feel if George Bush held this power two years ago? Could it be used to affect elections? You bet it could!

Even scarier, how about having the government monitor your browsing through cookies to better ensure you receive exposure to opposing view points?

If we want a neutrality bill, fine. How about one that states all the things the government can’t do to silence the opposition? But wouldn’t that be redundant considering we already have the constitution and bill of rights?

I agree.

Much of the blogosphere developed in response to the overwhelming progressive point of view that pervades the Mainstream Media.

Sunstein and ilk want the blogosphere–at least the right side of it–to become lapdogs like CNN, ABC, CBS, and the NY Times.

Or cheerleaders like the NY and LA TIMES and MSNBC.

I can say in the comments what I didn’t put in the piece: Cass Sunstein can kiss my ass.

Sounds like Cass Sunstein wants to contol any opposition. What he is saying is that you are too stupid to find opposing views. Therefore, the government will mandate what you say over the internet. A conservative sight will have to post links to liberal sites. My question is will the liberal sites be forced to post conservative sites? The liberal point of view is all over the place. What the Obama Admin doesnt like those that critize his agenda. The only way to stop it is to shut it down or at least make it difficult to broadcast. It opens everyone to civil or criminal lawsuits.
