Video of a Missouri family has their door broken down in the middle of the night by the guys whose job it is to “Serve and Protect.” Their family pets are shot–including their corgi–while their young son is a startled on-looker. One more example of the hundreds of daily S.W.A.T. Team Gone Wild battles in the failed War on Drugs.
In the failed War on Drugs, instead of “To Serve and Protect” it’s “To Serve a Warrant and Shoot the Family Pets.” One of the latest is this video where the father of the family got charged with possession of marijauna.
The Feds don’t enforce immigration laws against foreigners here illegally, but they’ll break down the door of a family in the middle of the night and shoot their corgi?

Now there’s video, which you can watch below. It’s horrifying, but I’d urge you to watch it, and to send it to the drug warriors in your life. This is the blunt-end result of all the war imagery and militaristic rhetoric politicians have been spewing for the last 30 years—cops dressed like soldiers, barreling through the front door middle of the night, slaughtering the family pets, filling the house with bullets in the presence of children, then having the audacity to charge the parents with endangering their own kid. There are 100-150 of these raids every day in America, the vast, vast majority like this one, to serve a warrant for a consensual crime.
This is Radley Balko’s, of Cato and Reason, beat. Balko wrote about this particular event in February, but he could gather the hundreds of stories like these into a good book.
Maybe, “SWAT Teams Gone Wild”?
No wonder, fewer and fewer Americans have respect for the law. They see Cabinet officials get away with not paying taxes; with illegals breaking the law which the federal government won’t enforce; and, generous taxpayer, federal funding to turn the police forces of small towns into para-military S.W.A.T. teams to bust families in the middle of the night for marijuana possession.
It’s contemptible and it has lead to more crime: mostly, that of turning everyday Americans into shootable perps. To what end–other than the adrenaline rush that only breaking down the door of a family and pretending they’re combating crime brings?
Not every cop is a latent facist. But almost all gun-toting thrill-seeking fascists are cops.
Police officials wonder why an increasing amount of people fear any contact with the police.
Watching the video inspires, not respect for the police, but utter contempt, particularly for the methods employed. And not only for the police shooting family pets, but for their enablers in the court system that make these daily outrages possible.

Were any of these brain dead idiots(SWAT)ever charged with any crimes? Or were they all given a promotion?

One SWAT team was getting carried away and they raided a house on a tip.
They found lawyers inside.
If this SWAT business doesn’t get controlled the out of control teams are liable to find another armed and ready law enforcement agency waiting for them and an ambitious DA ready to show trial them.

Very educating post, but it is not enough. Badly missing is a request for action that would invite viewers to send polite Emails to the responsible agency(ies) requesting explanation, asking what corrective measures they took, and letting them now that in the private sector heads roll for much lesser offenses.
And thanks to whoever tipped the neighbor to get her/his camera ready for action, and to the neighbor her/himself for stepping in.
Thinking of it, what would have happened without a camera? Would the dog have died had SWAT known about the camera?

I have never made a comment on a blog before this one, but I just had to add
my 2 cents worth after watching this gut-wrenching abomination. I am origi-
nally from Chicago, and I have seen a lot of dehumanizing acts of violence on
those city streets. I also spent 6 years as a teacher in one of the meanest and
dangerous schools in the heart of the ghetto there (no name beacause these
kids have enough problems already). So I’m no prude. My comment is this:
it will be a long time (read NEVER) before that young boy can forget about
this disgusting night in his young life. He will never be the same again. In
fact, these police “role models” should be charged with the crime of not only
child endangerment, but with assault on the mind of a child young enough to
remember,but not old enough to understand exactly what happened. He will
definitely need some form of counseling if he is to have any chance at living a
“normal” life. In today’s world, the word normal is not easily defined, as its
former meaning ha been altered by thousands of acts of cruelty perpetrated
by those who have the gall to say that these types of actions “serve and pro-
tect” American citizens. Hogwash. If what I just saw fits that definition, then
evil really is good, black is white and the truth is a lie.
This is what America has come to. It is sad. It makes me sick to my stomach.
It is one reason that I am no longer proud to be called an American, because
if this film describes what that means, then I am NOT one of those any longer. My heart goes out to that little boy, and his parents. The father’s shriek at learning that his “really good dog” was shot by these heartless thugs
raised the hair on my neck, and I wasn’t even there. What could these thugs
(for they surely do not fit the definition of peace officers) have been thoinking? I don’t even care if the father was doing drugs, which is by no means certain, as it was never even mentioned; he could not have done any-
thing as traumatizing to the kid’s psyche as was done to him by these “peace
officers” who “serve and protect”. Yeah,their own asses!And they will lie to
do so, even under oath in a court of law(lessness). And they will be protected by thesystem that bred them. People of the United States, if we continue to
allow these types of actions by our law enforcement employees, soon we will
be victims of their lawlessness ourselves; it is only a matter of time.
I don’t care what your view on drug use is, but I ask you this: what is the
worse crime here, assuming the father was even doing any drugs? Killing a
“good dog, he was only wanting to play with you, and you shot him!” OR, the
fact that the father inhaled a weed which can’t even hurt him if he wanted
it to. Has pot ever killed anyone. NO! Not one human being in its whole know history. How many killings have happened because of actions like the one I
just watched. How many INNOCENT people are hurt or killed when these ab-
surd raids are carried out? I don’t know, but even one is not acceptable to me. How about you? Should killings take place because of using ANY drug?
Legalize all drugs. End these senseless murders of dogs AND I’m sure people.
If it doesn’t stop, many of you reading this right now might be dead or in-
carcerated by mistake, by edict or by breaking a law made by idiots, enforced
by morons, and which nobody, including most peace officers, thinks will EVER
stop the so-called crime. Enough. How do these cowards (SWAT) even sleep

It is because I see these things happening in America, that I an 83 year old retired American have been campaigning to become your President, because this kind of behavour is becoming commonplace all over America. We have had the Bill of Rights destroyed as these traitors are taking over America. If you do not believe me, investigate Google and search for Don Cordell for President, look at the many links they have to my website.
Citizens of America, we must stop this, and do it before Obama sends the National Guard to patrol our streets, with more SWAT teams to harrass us. WE must ReVolt, by ReVote, to ReStore our nation, and ReCover the Bill of Rights, to stop this before we have United Nations troops all over the nation. Our Financial situation is going under, or Border Security is a joke. WE are threatened that if we do not buy Health Insurance we can be jailed. When are you going to wake up and realize, we are in trouble. A home in Ohio raided because neighbors had set up a sharing system to buy groceries in bulk, the government took 100% of the food found in their home, after hours of terrorizing the home owners family. let us all offer up hope and prayers for the brave SWAT heroes of colombia MO. let us hope/pray that – after a long lifetime of being shunned and hated by all decent people; multiple ugly & vicious divorces and kids who refuse to have anything to do with them; rampant alcoholism; gout; impotence; trigeminal neuralgia; and cluster headaches – let us hope they end their miserable lives alone, unloved, and despised by eating their own guns.
