Barack Obama: Our First President of Self-Esteem
Is Obama the first president produced by the Inane Emphasis on Self-Esteem?
Americans are paying higher taxes, dealing with more regulations, alienating allies, comforting enemies, dithering on national security, giving rights to terrorists–but we’re told that we’re all winners. Welcome to the Obama years: America’s first self-esteem president.

JUDGE OBAMA LIKE GRADE SCHOOL SELF-ESTEEM ACTIVITIES:
IT’S NOT WHAT YOU ACCOMPLISH, EVERYONE’S A WINNER!
At some point in the 1960s, the idea that “competition is bad” filtered into grade schools and games were invented (Frisbee, Earthball) so that no one would have to suffer the agony of being on the losing side of a game.
There were no winners, there were no losers: there were only players.
Activities with friendly competition were replaced with activities that killed time. Books appeared with titles like, “Everybody Wins: 393 Non-Competitive Games for Young Children.”
Instead of dodgeball, basketball and baseball, a variety of games recreated all of the magic of winning a game of Solitaire. But it didn’t matter, because Everyone was a Winner!
Hundreds of inane slogans pumped up the volume of “YOU!”
“Why compare yourself with others? No one in the entire world can do a better job of being you than you.â€
–Susan Carlson*
And from that philosophy of non-competitive games has come Barack Obama, our first non-competitive self-esteem President.
Obama says there’s 57 states? Misspells common words on TV?
No problem, he’s a genius.
Throws like a girl? Bowls like a–well, the president said a Special Olympian; he’s apologized for that so let’s just skip it.
He says he’s a “huge White Sox fan”–but can’t name even one player who ever played for the Chicago team.
Once more, no problem: this President’s a Sports Monster.
We know Obama is a “gifted” and “masterful” orator: the Mainstream press has hammered that meme until it’s a cliche. However, there’s a growing amount of evidence that when BHO goes off-teleprompter, he’s anything but.
INCREASINGLY, this president is not believed and not trusted. It has to do with people being able to check for themselves his sundry claims. They no longer have to get their facts from a big city daily newspaper or an alphabet talking head newscast.
The Mainstream Media could hide who Barack Obama was and what he stood for during the months of the election season. Obama could say outrageous statements (“I won’t raise taxes on anyone making under $250,000.) and there was no way to contradict him–he’d sponsored very few bills and the MSM didn’t talk about his extreme-liberal senate voting record.
But, after 14 months of actually governing, such as it is, Barack Obama is painting his own picture of who he is and what he stands for. The media can no longer spin gold out of dirt.
Obama keeps alienating allies, comforting enemies, raising spending, taxing more of us and the media keeps telling us, “You’re all winners!”
The result of the ObamaCare fiasco was that everyone in America will soon be awarded a prize that few want and no one will remember getting. ObamaCare is like a toxic blue ribbon that gathers dust in a box in the attic until tossed out.
Only you can’t toss Obama’s ribbon out, you’ll be forced to pay. The IRS will be checking on your “award”, reminding you that you’ve “won” every year on April 15.
Americans are looking at the results of 14 months of Obamateurisms and thinking, “Whoa! This is a big f–king deal!” But in a different way than the Joe Biden meant. The American people are not happy, Obama is failing and the media continues their tired line that we’re all winners.
Voters are counting the days until Election Day 2010 (209). We’re waiting out the next 30 months until we can vote for someone with real accomplishments–instead of the blank slate; an empty vessel.
We can feel the slide backwards; feel the insecurity. Our allies are worried, our enemies, not so much. But all of that’s of no concern: there are no losers, only winners in Obama’s America.
Welcome to America’s four years of being governed by our first Self-Esteem President.

“ObamaCare”, banking and auto industry bailouts, a federal deficit nearing $15,000,000,000 or so, and we are all “winners” huh? Looks like Barack “Mac Daddy Longlegs” Obama had you all fooled. Talk about a “Change We Can Believe In” huh. The Republicrats, such as Obama, continue to be entrusted office because the majority of the American people believe their talk without thinking for themselves, instead, the media does the thinking for them. As long as we have people that do not think for themselves, then we will continue to have people like George W. Bush and Obama in office, and we will all continue to be “winners”. These “wins” , of course, are, in reality, “losses”. Loss of freedoms and civil liberties, loss of our economic freedoms, loss of lives of innocent people, both Americans and foreigners, both in America and abroad, more government military interventions in America and overseas, resulting in less security in America, and more enemies created. Some kind of “winners” we are, huh.
