From Page Six to Playboy, Real Housewives of NYC’s Kelly Bensimon
Real Housewives of New York City’s former Page Six columnist and former model Kelly Bensimon has had a very busy year off-camera. In late February of last year Kelly was arrested for allegedly assaulting then fiance Nicholas Stefanov-the two were purportedly engaged a “couple of weeks”.
On June 8, EOnline published Real Housewives’ Kelly Bensimon Cleared in Court . Even though Stefanov failed to show up in court the judge ruled Kelly’s assault charges will be dropped if Kelly stays out of trouble for a year and does two days of community services which isn’t exactly a case of being “cleared” from the judicial system.

On February 13, 2010, the newest edition of Playboy hit the stands with the 41-yr-old former model gracing the cover along with other more revealing photos inside. Photos taken by Kelly’s ex-husband Gilles Bensimon, a native of France and professional photographer. Kelly is Bensimon’s third wife. Bensimon, 66, is listed as International Creative Director of ELLE Magazine and acts as a photographer for America’s Next Top Model. According to the New York Daily Post, the couple’s two daughters tagged along to the Playboy photo shoot.
On February 11, Huffington Post, a bastion of liberal blogs, posted a contest on which Bravo TV Real Housewife should be in Playboy. Kelly came in sixth, beaten out by three of the Real Housewives of Orange County and one Real Housewife from Atlanta. Ranking 1st, 32-yr-old Alexis Bellino, 2nd place, 43-yr-old Tamra Barney, and in 5th place, 31-yr-old Gretchen Rossi. Fourth place went to Real Housewives of Atlanta’s avante-garde Big Poppa mistress Kim Zolciak who claims she’s 30.
On April 1, 2009, The Real Estalker posted Kelly Bensimon’s 5,800 sg. ft. Hampton Beach abode was on the market with an asking price of $10,900,000 which may be why Kelly, as a single mom, doesn’t seem all that concerned on how to make ends meet. Ex-hubby Gilles bought the property for $750,000 in 1994.

Records and reports indicate Miz Bensimon lives in a 6th floor unit in the fabulous people friendly Police Building on Centre Street in New York City while her ex-huzband occupies a separate apartment on the fourth floor. We’re sure this set up is great for the ex-couple’s kiddies, but it can’t be so great when they run into each other and their respective “dates” in the magnificent lobby of the building.
Real estate in the Hamptons has sort of fallen off a cliff in the last several months due to the economic melt down and financial fracas on Wall Street, so it remains to be seen whether there is a buyer for Miz Bensimon’s house who is willing to pay anywhere near her asking price. We shall see.
The Bensimon’s purportedly divorced in 2007. The couple have two daughters, Thaddeus Ann Bensimon, 10, and Sea Louise Bensimon, age 12. The couple purportedly married in 1996 when Kelly was the ripe old age of 28 and famed fashion photographer Gilles was 53.
On April 17, 2009, the site Guest of a Guest reported on a controversy surrounding Kelly Bensimon’s jewelry design line touted on Real Housewives, an allegedly stolen owl necklace design and a potential lawsuit against Kelly. For more details follow the link.
