Another scoop for the Enquirer–and another heartache for…Rielle Hunter? Elizabeth Edwards?
Oh boy. The woman in question, bartender Stephanie Breshears, says that Edwards is a “scum”.
She must not be looking for a job in the Mainstream Mouthpiece Media.
ENQUIRER WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Cheating killed his political career, destroyed his reputation and left his marriage hanging by a thread – but John Edwards has done IT again! The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively that the philandering ex-senator embarked on a “sex-and-booze bender” after what appeared to be a marriage-ending blowout fight with his cancer-stricken wife Elizabeth.
While still publicly not admitting paternity of his love child – who turns 2 in February – the disgraced former presidential candidate shocked eyewitnesses by recently spending several consecutive nights trawling bars in search of women.

Edwards fled to the couple’s vacation home on Figure Eight Island near Wilmington, N.C. – and attempted to bed a female bartender as well as bar patrons young enough to be his daughter, say shocked witnesses.
In a bombshell exclusive interview with The ENQUIRER, bartender Stephanie Breshears revealed that Edwards repeatedly tried to get her to go back to his house for sex. The 34-year-old divorced mother-of-two said Edwards hit on her “for four consecutive nights” at the local Kornerstone Bistro, where she works.
“I think he’s scum,” Stephanie told The ENQUIRER. “He was definitely looking to pick up women when he came in here – and he wanted me to go back to his house.”
Stephanie revealed she first met Edwards last August when he arrived at the Kornerstone, five miles from his vacation home, with wife Elizabeth and the couple’s 27-year-old daughter Cate.
It’s been speculated in the press–especially since Mark Halperin & John Heilemann’s Game Change appeared–that Edwards’ affair with Rielle Hunter was not his first.
Maybe not, but this latest happening doesn’t provide any evidence for that conclusion. It’s been rumored–and with John Edwards, it seems that rumors about his romantic life proliferate in North Carolina–that Edwards had had numerous affairs, but was always able to keep them hushed up. In fact, after the affair with Hunter was “confessed” on August 8, 2008 on ABC, the intrepid NY Times–which had steadfastly refused to inform its readers of Edwards’ misdeeds beforehand–sent a reporter to “uncover” more.
Apparently, that Times’ mission failed as we’ve heard nothing more.

DBKP will have a lot more to say about this particular subject over the next 24 hours. If that rancid fishwrap NY Times can get a Pulitzer for suppressing the news the way it does, why not give one to the Enquirer for reporting it? This was a story, it was a BIG story, and it was one that the Enquirer pursued in the teeth of a complete MSM blackout from December 21, 2007 until late July 2008.

Don Surber reminds us: “Hey, Rielle, if he cheats on her, he will cheat on you. And Elizabeth helped cover-up Rielle. And this one knows he’s a dog. So no harm, no foul.”
Which reminds me of what I once told a wayward nephew. NEVER have an affair with someone that’s already taken. There’s only three things that can happen and all are bad.
1-You can get caught. BAD
2-She will not leave her guy and dump you. BAD
3-She will leave her guy and you will get the girl. But in this case, you KNOW she’s a cheater. What? You think you’re special? BAD
Rielle Hunter is finding out that there is one other option–because she had a baby and John Edwards, a millionaire, is the father.
4-He will dump you, but you get a paycheck–and a baby–for 18-21 years. At the end of 21 years, you’ll have a love child daughter and scorn. But mostly, in your case, scorn.

Burr to delay approval of U.S. attorney nominee
U.S. Sen. Richard Burr does not plan to return his “blue slip†on U.S. attorney nominee Thomas Walker until the current investigations into two of the state’s most prominent Democrats are completed.
Burr informed President Barack Obama of his decision through the White House counsel’s office.
Burr, a Winston-Salem Republican, wants the current U.S. attorney, George Holding, to complete his probes into former Gov. Mike Easley and two-time presidential candidate John Edwards. Holding was appointed by President George W. Bush.

If one looks at the 200-odd comments at the link below where the New York article appears (and some are very odd, especially the two made by a “mmedestael” who other commenters speculate is Elizabeth Edwards herself) two stand out.
One is from a person who says he worked at a hotel in Phoenix where Sen. John Edwards, as he identifies him, used an employee elevator to visit a woman who was not his wife. If Edwards was a Senator at the time this would have been between Jan 1999 and Jan 2005, well before he met Rielle Hunter.
Another comment is from someone who says she (or he) once lived in the same town with the Edwardses when he was a trial lawyer – possibly she or he means Raleigh, NC in the late ’80s or ’90s. She (or he) says that at the time he was having an affair with a professional colleague – someone at his firm? Or at another firm? Or a prosecutor? – and this was unknown to Elizabeth.
As we’ve all learned (and as the New York article notes), Elizabeth apparently reads such comments meticulously. Just as well for Edwards that he spends his time in bars trying to pick up the staff. Presumably with his cellphone turned off.

I can not believe he cheated on his cancer stricken wife again!…..I read an interesting article about John Edwards and about woman whose husband’s cheat that talks about how GPS systems have been used to catch them cheating. http://www.tracking-system.com/for-consumers/gps-spouse-tracking/275-john-edwards-cheats-again.html …I only wish she could have found out he was scum earlier so she could have dumped him.

Ms. Edwards worked so hard campaigning for him even after the got the news about the cancer. Back before she found out he was cheating she would look so adoringly at him. I could never understand why because there was just something about him that I just didn’t like. What year was it they lost their son? He always seem to use the loss of their son as something to get people’s sympathy, I wouldn’t see that in Elizabeth. I wonder if their oldest daughter still lives with them. I hope so because the two younger children need her so they will not hear these fights between Elizabeth & Scumbucket. He has probably made all of his children pretty miserable for years. He needs to get out of the house, & leave them all in peace. I think Elizabeth still loves him deep down inside & why he cannot at least pretend to love her back because of what all she is going through. But he thinks he is a pretty boy & wants women to tell him that when deep down inside he has no soul.

i can’t help but note that basically everything you said is made up. the only fact in all of that is that his wife has cancer.
