Britain’s University of East Anglia says the director of its prestigious Climatic Research Unit is stepping down pending an investigation into allegations that he overstated the case for man-made climate change.
The university says Phil Jones will relinquish his position until the completion of an independent review into allegations that he worked to alter the way in which global temperature data was presented.
The MSM non-story , Climategate, that is the clear intent by the British Climate Reasearch Unit of East Anglia University to manipulate climate data to show warming in spite of a decline from 1998 (“hide the decline” http://www.youtube.com/watch?
Phil Jones, head of CRU must step down while the demonstrative emails are examined and the data analyzed. It seems that the feeble explanation given by warmists that the emails represent a special language only understood by climate scientists went over the heads of University officials that use English as their mother tongue.

We here at DBKP expect a vocal and frankly irrational defense by warmists, who are shocked that they are subject to review. After all, nobody in their opinion is a peer to a true believer in Anthropogenic Global Warming.
Nevertheless, with New Zealand’s climate unit also caught altering historical data and Michael Mann of Penn State University (Ed–Mann is the author of the Mann Made Climate Change Hockey Stick graph) up to his neck in the CRU scandal, the populace may come to understand that these scientists do indeed have peers: Confidence Men.

So Phil Jones stepped down as
DirectorHigh Priest of the Universtiy of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit pending an investigation. Well, if his GW warming projections don’t hold up, at least he knows that his legacy will live on with his groundbreaking New & Improved CRU Scientific Method. I was able to reverse engineered the East Anglia CRU Scientific Methodology from the procedures documented in the purloined e-mails and code. It is clear to me that they have built on the work of maverick chemist Theodore Hapner, who revolutionized thinking about the scientific method in 2006. Godspeed Phil Jones.Reply

Well no. They were not ridiculed in the main. Copernicus was taken as seriously as a heart attack by religious scholars and myriads of amateur scientists, mathematicians and philosophers. His reputation as a mathematician was such that even the Pope read his works in admiration. His calculations of planetary relative distances and orbits seemed to add order to the Universe. Likewise Einstein. A poor mathematician but a great thinker, he built upon Lorenzo’s equation. While there was some doubting by some famous scientists, most of whom were important politically, but relatively inconsequential, there was a great deal of excitement also.Experiments began immediately to prove him right or wrong. The result was very clever science in many disciplines and a huge advancement in astronomy and physics.
These amplified weatherman at CRU,trying to control our lives by weather scare are very similar to the crack pot you link to. apparently he can’t get anything right.
