When you use someone else’s words, it’s good form to enclose it in quotes. Sometimes, what’s quoted is a block of text that’s important. More often, it’s important phrases or a word that are important to quote exactly because of context or so as not to lose any of the original meaning. A lot of places take text from an article without attribution.

We make sure we properly quote because we got a special at Crazy Al’s Quotation Marks Mart during its last truckload sale.
