Elegant Wedding Turns into Forty Person Jerry Springer Brawl

Memories Are Made Of This
It is not likely Tasha Johnson and Mark Brown will forget their wedding soon. Even if they might of had a bit to drink. The vows were exchanged in the Gazebo of the luxurious Rusty Pelican Restaurant. No expense was spared. Adults and children were welcome to the party. In fact as a bit of fun for the kids in attendance, Mark had arranged with his brother to toss money on the dance floor for the kids for a scramble between dances.
And this is what memories are made of. It seems a quest objected rather strenuously to money toss. And then things got interesting.
From Tampa’s wtsp.com:
Wedding goes wild as guests throw punches
“The groom and his brother confronted the guest and asked him to leave. Tempers flared and some pushing and shoving took place. Some of the wedding guests chose sides and that led to an all out brawl that spilled out into the parking lot. Investigators say nearly 40 people were involved.”
Of course it did not end there. The police were called and eventually restored peace at The Rusty Pelican. But…
The bride and groom hastily took off to The Bahamas. No doubt reviewing who invited certain quests and whose family behaved properly…or not. It is unlikely they have yet to inquire about the Wedding Album and video. Hopefully they will be laughing by then.
Let’s face it. Wedding brawls are fairly common. Some are legendary. Giving families entertainment for generations. We here at DBKP have been at more than our share of entertaining weddings. The line between mass skinny dipping and a brawl sometimes seems a fine one. Sometimes they occur simultaneously.
