Sarah Palin RINO Alarms, More Fox War News: Morning Intell

Morning Intell:: October 23, 2009
- TUCKER CARLSON MAKES SENSE: Why the White House Bullies Fox
“The Obama team isn’t at war with Fox because it’s conservative. They’re angry because Fox has embarrassed them. Tucker Carlson on the press corps’ shameful silence.” - JUST LIKE A ZOMBIE The bogus death statistic that won’t die
“Democrat Rep. Alan Grayson of Florida has found his calling: Death demagogue.”
That’s giving him way too much credit. But, it does sound better than “death tool”. - NY 23: Punky Power: Bachmann and Palin back Hoffman over Newt’s candidate
So glad to see Palin and Bachmann come out for the upstart Doug Hoffman–the Conservative Party candidate, who’s coming on strong and has passed Dede Scozzafava and just might win it all.Doug Hoffman stands for things that the Republican Party used to stand for–once upon a time. Now, Establishment Elephants are battling to change what it means to be a Republican. IF they win, Republicans will look like Bob Dole, sound like John McCain and have the intellectual firepower of Meghan McCain.
- JAY LENO:
“The FDA has announced plans to clamp down on food labeling that may mislead consumers into thinking food is more nutritious than it really is. Is that going to work? Are Americans going to change their eating habits by reading that? “Oh look at the label Honey; turns out these chocolate doughnuts aren’t as nutritious as I thought they were.— - PALIN CAUSES RINO ALARM:Pitchfork Sarah
Every time squishy Republicans and Democrats see a conservative threat on the horizon–whether it’s just a commentator like Glenn Beck or a politician like Sarah Palin–their undies get twisted into the most odd shapes. This causes them to lose not only their composure, but their good sense. Today’s national pastime among RINO’s: comparing Sarah Palin to Pat Buchannan.
We used to like Pat Buchannan–before he got weird and started sounding like a protectionist-loving, Israel-shunning, No-Nothing party standard-bearer. He wasn’t always like that, however.
Today’s Palin-bashing disguised to look like “thoughtful analysis” comes from the NY Observer.
The headline gives it away.
“Sarah Palin, should she decide to run for president in 2012, is on course to become the next Pat Buchanan or Jesse Jackson.”So does the first paragraph.
- NEWS FROM THE TRENCHES: NYT: Obama whined about Fox News at off-the-record briefing with lefty pundits
America was told–by that same NY Times–during the campaign that Presidente 0 was the smartest human being ever to run for office in the history of the planet. Of course, that’s the line they trot out every four years for whomever has the Magic D behind their name. In 2012, expect more of the same. But American will have had four years of “contradictory evidence” to weigh alongside the Times’ quadrennial genius claim.
Which is just one more reason the NY Times has become superfluous.
- NO WEASEL WORDS HERE: The Congressional Scam that Failed
A funny thing happened on the way to one of the biggest scam attempts in history. It got ratted out. And Capitol Hill got an earful.
So the U.S. Senate failed by seven votes to invoke cloture on Wednesday and push forward a bill that even had Washington Post editorialists gagging on its duplicity. Thirteen Democrats joined all 40 Republicans to reject 47-53 a free-standing Medicare bill, S. 1776, that would have pushed up the national deficit by a quarter of a trillion dollars over the next 10 years.
IF health care costs were all that was being addressed here, tort reform would have been on the agenda. So would have opening competition across state lines. Instead, the country has had to mobilize for the last six months to stop this Frankenstein’s Monster from becoming law.
- MAYBE BOB DOLE COULD HELP WITH THAT?
Men who voted McCain saw testosterone drop: study
Huh?
(h/t: Freedom Phoenix) - WATCH OUT FOR THE FAT POLICE: Newborn, Kids, Seized from 322 Pound “Clinically Obese†U.K. Mum: Child Protection Services Rules Mother Endangering Kids
They’re in the UK and they’re making inroads in the USA. If the Government runs health care, then the government has a stake in keeping everyone skinny, errr, healthy.
- ANOTHER TAKE on MORE WAR NEWS: Unreal. White House Bans FOX News from Press Pool Interview — Then Relents After Protest (Video)
“Hugo Chavez would be proud–
The White House banned FOX News today from interviewing the Pay Czar along with the other four major state-run media outlets. FOX News has been a member of the five network rotation since 1997. Surprisingly, the Washington bureau chiefs of the five TV news networks stepped in an agreed to skip the interview if FOX was not included.
The administration relented… this time and allowed FOX to attend.”
Yet, there was one commenter at FR yesterday who called any concern about threats to free speech–which includes press freedom–as “nonsense”.
At least he got his finger out of his ears long enough to pen the comment. - THIS ISN’T GOING TO SIT WELL WITH LINDSEY GRAHAM, JOHN McCAIN and SENATE DEMS: CNN Poll: 3 out of 4 want illegal immigration decreased
Seventy-three percent of those questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Thursday morning called for a drop in the number of illegal immigrants, with 22 percent saying the number should remain the same and just 3 percent stating that there should be an increase in the number of illegal immigrants. That 73 percent figure is the highest number since CNN started asking this question four years ago.
Count Graham, McCain and the Senate Dems among the “3-percenters”.
- VOLUME RISING: Message to GOP: Can you hear conservatives now?; Update: Palin is listening
Michelle Malkin has some interesting letters about conservative unrest within the GOP. This writer is restive–he’s never been a member of any political party. - THURSDAY’S Daily scoreboard
Find out whether yesterday was GOOD or EVIL. We’re not telling today. - MORE WAR NEWS: Obama Manipulates Media to Expel Fox
“Whether the White House’s “war” against Fox News is a ruse to divert attention from President Barack Obama’s plummeting poll numbers and unfavorable policies, or an all-out attack to exclude Fox News from the White House press pool, the self-proclaimed government “watch dogs” are virtually AWOL or turncoats.” - THE POLITICS of BREAST CANCER: Susan G. Komen Reverses Decision: Will Allow Israeli Doctors at Egyptian Conference
“The Susan G. Komen Foundation reversed their decision and will now allow Israeli doctors to attend their breast cancer conference in Egypt.”
Because it’s all about better health for all–just like ObamaCare! - COW WATCH: This is RACISM, Straight Up!

Umm, OK, am I the only one who thinks it’s strange that the MSM never talks anymore about Sarah Palin’s kleptomania?

Shimmy,
That is strange.
Of course, they don’t talk about my kleptomania anymore either.
…not that they did much of that.
Nice blog by the way…you’ve got some thought-provoking perspectives. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by, read and comment.
