The war did not start because Western Sudanese are of African decent--most of the people in the capital are of African decent--It started because the CPA agreement, signed in 2005, between the South and North, formed a national unity government that did not involve any of the other parts of the country. Also, coincidently, they had recently discovered a 'lake' of oil underneath Darfur: the largest oil deposit in Africa. It is not ethnic tension it is a battle over resources. And of course they have weapons, otherwise there would not be a war. Also, "mad Muslims"? Are you 5?
