Springfield, VA, Cops Scramble to Back up Cop’s Wife Claim

America’s abuzz over the Virginia Naked Man busted for indecent exposure after making coffee in his kitchen. Twenty-nine-yr-old Eric Williamson, a native Hawaiian, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure after a neighborhood woman with a 7-yr-old boy claimed Williamson had exposed himself “twice”: once through a kitchen window and again through the living room window at approximately 8:30 am Monday in Springfield, Virginia.

Williamson, who lived with 5 roommates in the rented home, was alone when he came downstairs in the buff and made himself a cup of coffee. Williamson claims “it was dark” and that he had no idea anyone was looking in. The cops, who consulted with the District Attorney’s office, arrested Williamson because they “believed” Williamson intended to expose himself.

Now for the “rest” of the story:

The “witness”, a neighborhood woman, is married to a Fairfax county cop and admitted she, along with the boy, had “cut through” Williamson’s yard.

Cops say Williamson is a “concern” because his home is across the street from a school bus stop. Cops are now scrambling to find witnesses who will cooberate the witness’ claim.

We don’t know about Fairfax statutes but it would seem “cutting” through someone’s yard is an invasion of private property, while looking in someone’s window constitutes “peeping”. We have no doubt, that if the tables were turned, and a man had “cut” through the witness’ yard in the early morning hours and had “looked” into her window, then she could have a case of a “peeping Tom”. Not so for Williamson, whom, according to the Fairfax authorities, doesn’t have the right to keep Fairfaix County cop’s wives from traipsing through his yard, or, peeping through his windows, then further harassing Williamson by having him arrested for indecent exposure for not wearing clothes in his own home.
