Protected by a lapdog media that hemorrhaged trust way before it began showing up on their balance sheets, most of America didn’t become acquainted with the “Change” that Obama meant until this summer.
His continued slide in the polls reflect an electorate that is now better informed of his policies than they were prior to his taking office.

The following is incidental to the article’s point, but is also a great point that is missed elsewhere in the media.
There’s a significant key to understanding the talk radio audience in this narrative. The right can listen to talk radio, as Wagler does and as I have done at various periods over nearly twenty years, (and have seen many dozens of others — and as millions do on a daily basis), while working at our jobs! We are multi-taskers, who are working, earning a living (and paying taxes) while we listen.

Ace thrashes away at Media Matters–which is somewhat of an unfair fight because MM is such an easy target. Beating up a press “watchdog” that is tripped up by even elementary fact-checking; it’s the equivalent of a fight between Godzilla and Barney.
Media Matters is also handicapped by confusion about its mission: is it a watchdog, a lefty fund-raising apparatus, or an scattershot attack gun? MM ought to settle on one of the three or get a new raison d’etre, because it does none of the above particularly well.
