Corruption in Washington is rampant. Both parties are to blame.

Amen.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant and voting out and then prosecuting all who trade favors, earmarks and votes is a good solution.

Of course, as I used to say about a certain ex-governor of where I live (his opponents would point out that the man was “crooked”). I would answer that he might be crooked, but he couldn’t steal in a year what his opponent took in much-increased taxes and fees in a week.

Corruption in Washington is rampant. Both parties are to blame. Lack of oversight, lack of transparency, earmarks, special interests and lobbies are all problems that must be addressed.
Since the life of a professional politician is so sweet, every aspect of it should be an open book for the public (and oponents) to see.
Only then can we be sure that personal gain is not the driving motive for political decisions.
