2. All this skirting around the truth by the President, all of this conscious construction of Rube Goldberg-esque machines of Big Government Obama Care, all of the convoluted contortions to demonstrate racism in its opponents–and it all may be unconstitutional at the end of the day. Mandatory Insurance Is Unconstitutional
   

   …a tax that is so clearly a penalty for failing to comply with requirements otherwise beyond Congress’s constitutional power will present the question whether there are any limits on Congress’s power to regulate individual Americans. The Supreme Court has never accepted such a proposition, and it is unlikely to accept it now, even in an area as important as health care.

3. “Is there NO ONE that will stand up for child prostitution in this great country any more?”

   When the call went out, it was answered by 75 Democratic congressmen, including Alan Mollohan (WV) and Nick Rahall (WV). It may be that West Virginians are so hard up for jobs, the Dynamic Duo are looking to jump start the Mountain State’s economy with brothels featuring the under-aged.

   From The Acorn 75:

   The House vote came a day after the release of the latest video by freelance investigators James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles, who crisscrossed the country posing as a pimp and prostitute. Employees in at least five different Acorn offices offered them help in setting up a child-prostitution business. If that isn’t enough to persuade 75 Democrats to stop supporting Acorn with taxpayer money, one can only conclude that the only way they’d defund the outfit is if it endorsed the war in Iraq or Afghanistan.

   From Mollohan, Rahall (heart) ACORN:

   West Virginia Democrats went 0-fer-2 in the House today as Democratic Congressmen Alan Mollohan and Nick Joe Rahall voted to continue taxpayer funding for that criminal organization, ACORN, with taxpayer money. The rest of the House voted 345-75 to cut off funding.

   Not sure about Rahall, but Mollohan had his House Ethics Committee seat stripped away from him a couple years ago because he had a hard time with–ethics?!? Which could explain his vote for ACORN.

   Maybe Mollohan’s vote was in the “soul mate” category.

4. CONGRESS VEERS LEFT ON HEALTH CARE
   

   Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus unveiled his long-awaited health-care compromise this week to the sound of one hand clapping. You wouldn’t know it from the White House, which soothingly spun the Baucus bill as a breakthrough on the forced march to reform. We were told it was a good thing that the only person in Washington who liked Max Baucus’s bill was . . . Max Baucus.

6. Jesse James Used a Gun, ACORN Used Illegal Aliens

   FRom ACORN’s illegal alien home loan racket

   GOP California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger now wants an investigation. But neither the Terminator nor any other California public officials raised a peep when the very same San Diego ACORN office publicly announced a partnership with Citibank to secure home loans for illegal aliens. In 2005, Citibank and ACORN Housing Corporation – which has received tens of millions of tax dollars under the Bush administration alone — began recruiting Mexican illegal aliens for a lucrative program offering loans with below-market interest rates, down-payment assistance and no mortgage insurance requirements. Instead of Social Security numbers required of law-abiding citizens, the program allows illegal alien applicants to supply loosely-monitored tax identification numbers issued by the IRS.

   When did it become OK for corruption? The Mouthpiece Media most likely would have climbed all over themselves 40 years ago to do this story. Of course, their readers/viewers deserted them because they stopped doing these stories.

7. WILL OBAMA CARE COVER POLITICIANS WHO GET TANGLED UP WITH OWN TONGUES?

   Creigh Deeds is the Democrat’s candidate for governor in Virginia. He is also desperately trying to explain how having just promised not to raise taxes, he is going to um, raise taxes….Ok, he wants to raise revenue not taxes. I guess under his plan the Commonwealth of Virginia is going to get a part time job. Perhaps they can get a paper route or open a lemonade stand.

   This is such an amazing example of backtracking, filling and spinning that even the reporters present are totally confused and have to ask for clarification–even after he’s clarified several times.

   A good example of why most politicians just take the high road and lie.
