The Associated Press is running only slightly behind the New York Times and MSNBC as the most intellectually-dishonest of the “news purveyors”.

Scratch that.

Make it “uber-insensitive intellectually-dishonest”

AP’s Kathleen Carroll says “We don’t distribute content that is known to be offensive, with rare exceptions.” But wait…that was about the Muhammad cartoons. Dying US Marines are actually the exception we were talking about.

Pictures of young Marines dying doesn’t offend the “sensibilities” of the Associated Press.

If only Lance Corporal Joshua Bernard had had the foresight to put a sticker of a Danish cartoon [example below] on his helmet.

2006 Danish cartoon

Michelle Malkin rips both the AP and Huffington Post [Huffington Post exploits AP’s dying Marine photo], calling them both “slimeballs”.

That’s an affront to slimeballs everywhere.

RIP Lance Corporal Joshua Bernard.

RIP Associated Press.
