Liberal media unleashes frenzied media attack against CNN Host Lou Dobbs, Calls Dobbs Racists over Obama Birth Certificate Remarks, Calls For Dobbs to be Fired

Liberal Media Hunts Down CNN’s Lou Dobbs. Brands Dobbs as heretic!

According to the LA Times, Media Matters for America targets CNN’s Lou Dobbs, liberal media “watch dog” Media Matters is unleashing ads attacking CNN host Lou Dobbs. Media Matters is seeking to have Dobbs “shut down” or at least, shut up, by CNN. Just what has Lou done to incur the wrath of the Leftie Media Loons? Lou wondered on air why President Obama hasn’t shut down the Birther movement with one swift showing of his original birth certificate.

Here’s the facts:

-Dobbs is the only MSM news person to publicly question Obama not producing a copy of his original birth certificate and thus, “end public speculation” of the Birther crowd.

-Dobbs has stated several times that he believes Obama is a citizen.

-Dobbs dared to report about “Birthers”, a group of people who believe there are questions to Obama’s eligibility to serve as President.

Up until now the media ignored Birthers, referring to them as “lunatic fringe” while deeming their concerns as those of “racists” and “crackpots”. The media also proclaimed the matter of whether Obama is eligible as “thoroughly” investigated and a “dead” issue. All was right in media news land until Lou Dobbs broke ranks and actually reported on the Birther movement and then stepped over the quicksand drawn line. Dobbs said he was bewildered as to why Obama doesn’t end the so-called conspiracy by simply releasing a copy. The media has come to Obama’s defense by way of intimidating Dobbs, calling for Dobbs to be fired. According to the Liberal Media Attack squad, Dobbs is now an official “racist”, and thus, needs to be removed from CNN.

So much for freedom within the press. The whole incident highlights the amount of time, energy, and lengths some in the media will go to protect the President. The very same President who promised to be “transparent”. Obama has been transparent, but not in the way he intended.

The Transparency Test

Using Merriam-Webster’s definition of transparent, which definition does Obama’s actions fall under?

Are his actions, of promising to be “transparent”, then refusing to release a copy of his original birth certificate and hiring high powered attorneys to keep from showing the certificate to the courts, “free from pretense or deceit”, or, are these actions “easily detected” or “seen through” by the public as Obama going to extraordinary lengths to not having to produce his original birth certificate?

The Media’s Inconvenient Truth

The media is right in its claim that:

-Obama has shown a birth certificate, Obama’s Certificate of Live Birth, to the public by way of FactCheck.org’s website

-FactCheck.org guarantees that the Certificate of Live Birth is official and that it does serve as an official birth certificate.

-The State of Hawaii has verified that they have Obama’s original birth certificate in its archives.

Meanwhile, the media is neglecting to inform the public that:

-Obama’s attorneys are fighting tooth and nail to keep from showing either the Certificate of Live Birth or his original birth certificate in court. Apparently the MSM sees this as news “not fit” to report.

The Transparency of the Press

This issue has morphed from where Obama was born to one of why won’t he produce a copy of his original birth certificate. The same copy each and every American has to produce to get a driver’s license, a wedding license, enter school, or play Little League. Americans understand that this is part and parcel of their lives. It’s something they can relate to. What they can’t relate to, is a President willing to put a copy of his Certificate of Live Birth on a website on the internet as “proof” then fight tooth and nail to keep from having to produce either his original birth certificate or his Certificate of Live Birth in court.

The arrogance of the press towards members of the public who ask the very same question Lou Dobbs asked has been astounding and illuminating. Ridicule and attempts of marginalization, of labeling the public as the “lunatic fringe”, are transparent tactics designed to “protect” the President. It’s no wonder that the public has lost faith with in the press and that the public no longer believes the press to be a viable source of fair and balanced news.

Call us lunatic fringe all you want, but we believe what the President is doing is crazy behavior and the opposite of “transparent”. After all, it was the President who promised to be transparent. What’s truly crazy is that the fragile bond between a new President and the public could be broken over something as simple as not showing an original birth certificate. Breaking a promise, of being transparent, to those who are needed to support your agenda and pay for your programs by way of higher taxes leads to questions asked. If those questions are not fully answered, then trust becomes an issue. Especially when all you’re offering… is more promises.
