Americans love a good mystery, especially when it relates to behavior which defies logic and belies common sense.
The Million Dollar Birth Certificate
A man posted a copy of his Certificate of Live Birth, or “short form” certificate on the web. The man claimed that it was a copy of his certified birth certificate. The owner of the blog where the copy was posted, a “fact checker”, verified that the copy submitted by the man was an official birth certificate.
People who saw the certificate online claimed that the Certificate of Live Birth wasn’t a copy of the man’s original birth certificate, or “long form”, the one that listed which hospital the man was born in, and what doctor was in attendance. The man, and his representatives, argued that the document he proffered was recognized by state officials where he was born as a viable alternative of his original certified birth certificate. The state officials came to the man’s defense, stating a copy of his original birth certificate was “on file” and “had been viewed”.
Several lawsuits were filed in various state and federal courts, demanding the man provide a copy of the original birth certificate, or “long” form to the court.
The man responded to the lawsuits by having his subordinates ridicule in the press those who had filed the suits as nitwits, conspiracy nuts, and “birthers”.
Rather than submitting a copy of his original birth certificate to a judge, the man choose to spend-under the aegis of a committee he had formed-hundreds of thousands, in some estimates, over a million dollars in legal fees to fight the lawsuits. Not only did he refuse to produce a copy of his original birth certificate to the courts but he also refused to produce a copy of his Certificate of Live Birth-the very same document that he had previously supplied to the “fact checking” website, who then posted it online.
The man’s attorneys filed motions to dismiss and argued that the civil lawsuits had been filed in the “wrong” court, that the plaintiffs “had no standing”, and that the lawsuits were “frivolous”. His attorneys also threatened the plaintiffs with court sanctions.
The man, who, so far, has spent an estimated million plus dollars in legal fees in order to keep both copies-the Certificate of Live Birth, and the original birth certificate-out of the courts, is an attorney versed in Constitutional Law. He’s also the President of the United States, Barack Obama.
His attorneys are the firm, Perkins Coie, led by attorney Robert F. Bauer. The attorney fees are paid for by Obama’s political action committee, Organizing for America.

The MSM has declared the “story” about Obama’s birth certificate and eligibility to serve as President to be “dead”. The MSM has chosen to print numerous opinion pieces and articles written by those who condemn Americans who feel the President should release a copy. The articles ridicule and heap scorn, while labeling those who want a copy released to the public as “nutjobs”, “conspiracy freaks”, and “birthers”. And yet, spending a million dollars in order to not produce a copy of your original birth certificate to a judge would seem to imply behavior that defied logic and belied common sense as well as being a “nutjob” of the highest order. Unless, according to the silence of the MSM, it’s the President.

The Supreme Court did no such thing.
They declined to hear the case based on a lower court ruling the plaintiff had no standing (a correct ruling, in my opinion,) to bring suit.

Even if there was something to all this birth certificate nonsense — even if Obama was born on the moon — he is still a natural-born American citizen because his mother was American (even if his mother was really his grandmother). If it’s good enough for the goose (McCain), then ….

Wikipedia is not considered a reliable source for current political events. The partisan bickering over what constitutes “facts” concerning political subjects is well-documented—one source is Wikipedia itself [John Edwards Love Child Scandal: Debate at Wikipedia Rages and John Edwards Love Child: Wikipedia Editor Defends Go-Slow Policies On Edwards Entry ....also, follow the drama for selected articles at Wikipedia Talk].
This is to be expected when the ‘encyclopedia’ is user-edited. Wikipedia is very reliable for matters of historical record and non-controversial subjects, however.
The case with McCain involves a child (McCain) of parents serving in the military, born in (what was then) the US Canal Zone. It’s easy enough to find the specifics–even Wikipedia may have it right: it’s pretty clear-cut.

He certainly released a copy of what anyone would call a birth certificate. It’s the document you get.
Since you don’t seem to know how much money was actually spent (you say “hundreds of thousands, in some estimates, over a million dollars” … so do you really know what was spent or are you just making stuff up? Could you provide a list of cases and the amount of defense money spent and the actual cause of action in the case?
Otherwise … why should I believe your rantings over stuff you just plain made up or copied from other websites without any research????
