The first Palestinian political groups were the Muslim-Christian Associations that were organized in the main cities of Palestine, including Jaffa, Haifa and Jerusalem. Together with feminist and workers’ organizations, they impulsed the realization of the First Palestinian National Congress in 1919.
the Muslim-Christian Association in Jerusalem sent a bulletin to ambassadors and political authorities, particularly British, to show the anger of the Palestinian population after the Balfour Declaration and Zionist plans for Palestine: “We totally reject the transference of Palestine to a Jewish homeland. We do not allow for any Jew to immigrate to our country. We also strongly protest against Zionism. With regard to local Jewry who inhabited Palestine earlier, they should be considered full citizens and enjoy rights that are similar to those of Palestinian Arabs (Muslims and Christians)”

You say the Palestinians "forfeited" their rights? They didn't even seem to have a voice let alone "rights"! You call their resistance in their own homeland against armed foreign occupiers "aggressive wars?" Have you no shame as an American who's motto should be "liberty and justice for all"? Or do you mean that just for your buddies? You should put that on your site as your logo. "Liberty and Justice for my buddies".
One more thing. If your "buddies" had not reneged on the contract they had with the Arabs after WW! to support their unification of the Arab lands we also would not be having this discussion. Your buddies are dishonorable to say the least ( I will not even start on the European fascists who moved to Palestine you seem to support) . Nothing to be proud of. The Arabs trusted their honor (the British) and that makes me sad. But there's a sucker born every minute and 2 to take him. yeah, I know. I would not brag about it though.

seansmom:

Interesting take on history.

When the British mandate of Palestine was partitioned in 1948, there were to be two separate entities, one Jewish and one Arab. It would be an argument that when the Arab nations sought to snuff out Israel, that they forfeited their rights to decide what went on in the area previously referred to as "Palestine".

It's like those multiple aggressive wars never happened in the minds of those like yourself. If the Arabs had been successful, we would not have even been having a discussion. But because they failed, they and their apologists have been attempting to win by diplomacy what they couldn't win through naked force of arms. The stated purpose of an Iranian nuke is to force that decision back onto the table by force of arms.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.

I am a long time traveler also, I have lived in the Middle East and would recommend Alan Hart, Stuart Littlewood, Johnathan Cook, Robert Fisk, Norman Finkelstein, Khalid Amayreh, Jeff Gates just to name a few for those who would like answers to these same questions. People down on the ground. Wouldn't it make more sense? In fact, I would recommend the Palestine blogs for all the listed "propaganda" mentioned since it's the Palestinians who were there before any of these other characters and historical events listed by the author of this blog! These days there are so many faked Palestine sites (fascists will go to great lengths to steer decent minded folks from the truth ) I had better even mention one in case someone may be decieved. I will suggest Palestine Think Tank. One can't go wrong and anyone wanting to know anything about Palestine history can read there and go away much more learned. Why on earth would anyone choose to learn from anyone from (or a supporter of) a murderous invader colony and think they are going to find anything close to the truth? That's rather oxymoron I would think!

I would really value your opinion and the opinion of your readers. The long-term goal of this project is to facilitate a more diplomatic American foreign policy in the years ahead.
