Pakistan: A Week Of The Taliban

Since the Pakistani government penned a peace treaty, or surrender, to the Taliban in the Swat Valley, a number of Islamic milestones have been reached. The Taliban have managed in short order to demonstrate the Islamic teachings and practices that bring joy to the hearts of millions of Islamic fundamentalists throughout the world. The joy that only comes from reading tales of The Rape of Constantinople or The Armenian Genocide to youngsters. DBKP has accumulated a few examples of the stuff that makes Muslim extremists swoon.

The Daily Mail reports on:

Chilling footage of couple executed by Taliban for having affair

“Horrifying footage has emerged of a couple being executed by the Taliban after conducting an alleged affair in a Pakistan village near the Afghan border.

A local journalist captured the footage on his mobile telephone, which showed a gunman shooting the couple after they attempted to escape.
The man and woman, who have not been named, were both shot in the back, and left bleeding in a field until observers noticed that they were still alive.

The film, which aired on Pakistani channel Dawn News, shows the gunman return moments later to shoot them dead.
The killings, which took place in Hangu District, a violent militant-controlled frontier region two hours from Peshawar, is further indication of the spread of the Taliban in Pakistan.”

The false Propoganda against Taliban will falter

“Karachi: April 22, 2009. (PCP) The Talibanization of Karachi city begins with attack of armed Taliban on a Christian colony. The attack was well organized and heavy firearms were used by hundreds of Taliban to threaten unarmed Christian elders, women and children. The Taliban chalked slogans against Christianity and to accept Islam on Church walls in Taseer Town in night of April 19, 2009 which horrified Christian residents.

On April 21, 2009, the local Christians took out a peaceful procession in vicinity of Taseer Town to attract attention of local administration for protection of residents but no action was taken nor police guard were provided for protection of Church.

On night of April21, 2009, more than one hundred masked Taliban intruded in Taseer Colony and attacked Christians with heavy machine guns. The feared Christian locked them in their homes but they pulled elders out on gunpoint’s and dragged women from hairs in streets. They loudly said “ You infidels have to convert to Islam or die. Why you cleaned our warnings chalked on walls of Church and home doors? How you dare to take out procession against Taliban?

The two Christians who resisted to Taliban, they killed them in execution style before their families. In a two hour long attack on Taseer Town Taliban killed two Christians and beaten dozens.

Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC condemned attack and killing of Christians in Taseer Town and urged government to provide protection to Christians in Pakistan who are unarmed and peaceful citizen.”

Christian cannot have weapons by law in Pakistan, thus ensuring their constant danger. But they are not the only ones that have tasted the barbarity of the Taliban. Hindus have fled Swat and the Sikhs, in order to remain safe, were forced to pay a huge jizya or tax to be left alone. The tax was extracted after 35 Sikh homes were forcefully occupied by the Taliban.

“Al-Zamakhshari, a Mu’tazili author of a commentary on the Qur’an, said that “the Jizyah shall be taken from them with belittlement and humiliation. The dhimmi shall come in person, walking not riding. When he pays, he shall stand, while the tax collector sits. The collector shall seize him by the scruff of the neck, shake him, and say “Pay the Jizyah!” and when he pays it he shall be slapped on the nape of the neck.”

And last , but by no means least, the Taliban came up with a true headline grabber. One that surely must make all of those silly asses naming their boy Osama, or are wearing Osama’s picture on their shirt, or believe that 9/11 was an inside job, beam with pride. Sky News:

Children Blown Up By Bomb In A Football

“Sixteen children have been killed in explosions in Pakistan over the weekend – 12 of them while playing with a football which contained a bomb.”

“The blasts were in the northwest region where violence has increased as Taliban fighters extend their reach.

The football explosion happened in a village in the mountains of Lower Dir. The children, five of them girls, found the ball as they were returning from school. Seven victims belonged to the same family

“…investigators would check whether the children were targeted because their families had refused to let the Taliban take them for training, including as suicide attackers.

He also appealed to parents across North West Frontier Province (NWFP) to stop children accepting food or toys from strangers.

Dir is part of the Malakand division of NWFP, where President Asif Ali Zardari recently sanctioned the imposition of Islamic law under a controversial deal aimed at ending conflict with Taliban militants in Swat valley.

But just days after Zardari’s move, fighters in Swat pushed into neighbouring parts of Malakand, closer to the Pakistani capital of Islamabad.”

And this is the way to paradise?

UPDATE – MAY 2, 2009

From the Deccan Herald:

“On seeing reports about Sikh families in Pakistan being driven out of their homes and being subject to ‘jiziya’ and other such impositions, the Government of India has taken up with Pakistan the question of treatment of minorities with the government of Pakistan,” External Affairs Ministry spokesman Vishnu Prakash said here.

According to reports, Taliban militants have demolished 11 homes of members of the minority Sikh community in Pakistan’s troubled Aurakzai tribal region after they failed to pay ‘jiziya’ or a tax levied on non-Muslims.

The militants acted after a deadline set by them for payment of ‘jiziya’ by the Sikhs expired on April 29, the reports said.

The Sikh had discussed the possibility of leaving the area at a meeting of the community but were unable to reach a decision.

Though the Sikhs have been living in Aurakzai Agency for centuries, the Taliban asked them earlier this month to pay Rs 50 million a year as jiziya.

The militants claimed this was being done as Shariah or Islamic law had been enforced in the area and all non-Muslims have to pay “protection money”.
