Aside from Pakistan and India suffering mass causalities the impact on the rest of the world would mean global devastation on a scale never witnessed before. According to a study made by U.S. scientists, nuclear blasts of 100 Hiroshima type nuclear devices would set into a series of motions which would “rip apart” the ozone layer and result in millions of deaths and catastrophic health problems:

“A brief nuclear war between India and Pakistan would rip apart the ozone layer and unleash global devastation – killing millions, besides triggering catastrophic health problems, according to a study by US scientists. Using sophisticated computer modelling, University of Colorado scientists Micahel Mills and Owen Brian Toon have showed that a nuclear war between the two South Asian neighbours, involving 100 Hiroshima-sized nuclear devices, would ignite urban fires and blast five million tonnes of soot 80 km into the air.

The soot would absorb enough solar radiation to heat surrounding gases, setting in motion a series of chemical reactions that would break down the stratospheric ozone layer, which protects the earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation.”

The result, far more indirect causalities around the world from fallout than the millions killed by the nuclear blasts.

The advance of the Taliban in Pakistan is moving at a fast clip, infiltrating the government and military intelligence, taking hold of the Swat Valley and Buner, only 60 miles from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Pakistan has legitimized the Taliban by handing over the Swat Valley by allowing Islamic law to replace a legal system based on British Colonial law. The citizens live in terror, while the Pakistan government has essentially left them in Taliban hands.

The Taliban is dominating and destroying parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan in a push to form their own country, Pashtunistan, which would include Kashmir. If the Taliban succeeds in successfully pulling off a coup of Pakistan, Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal will be in the hands of Islamic fanatics bent on the domination and destruction of western civilization. India, with its own nuclear arsenal, may be forced into taking preemptive measures. The result, nuclear war between Pakistan and India, catastrophic on a global scale.

It’s this very real scenario that Secretary of State Clinton warned about and the scenario that President Obama may encounter his first international crisis which Joe Biden firmly declared would occur within the first six months of Obama’s Presidency.
