Back when I was still in the military, I'd drive by the good sisters protesting outside my military installation. Pope John Paul II, a great man in my humble opinion, slapped around a bunch of these people in Latin America back in the 80's, putting an end to any Catholic involvement in the left-wing Liberation Theology. Will Pope Benedict crack down on this foolishness? It's one thing to stand up for social justice, but when you abandon your religious discipline in the process you've lost your way.
